So I call these guys up to install a keyless lock I purchased. They gave me a reasonable quote so I scheduled the service. When the guy was half an hour late, I called and they said he was 10 minutes away. After several more calls and a total of two hours of waiting, the locksmith showed up. I handed him the instruction manual and told him it was a complex lock. He never opened the booklet. So he gets to work, and gets the job done. He then removes all of his tools and comes back with a bill - twice the quote. When I said I wouldn't pay it, he gets three inches from my face and tries to intimidate me. I am a large man, and think this was the first time someone ever tried to intimidate me like this. While this guy is still in my face I call his boss and explain that I can't really speak. So he backs off. The guy says, "It's New York, don't complain about being late... everyone is late. At least you will be happy with the service." Finally the guy left (when I threatened to call the police), and I set about programming the lock, at which point I found out that he hadn't followed the instructions and the lock wouldn't work properly. I called the place back and they said they could send that same schmuck to fix it. If you are going to use this company, pay with credit. That way you can always contest the charge... I am sending the bill from the locksmith I had to hire to fix this company's mistake as proof for my claim against them.
