The owner of the company (Manny) has done a few projects for us. In terms of furniture assembly, he put together our kitchen island and our enormous TV stand. Manny works quietly and efficiently (you hardly know he's there) and he either charges by the hour or will give you a flat rate based on the project you need done. He has a variety of skills (for example, the last thing he did for us was install a range hood) so don't hesitate to ask him to do anything around the house. His specialty is assembling IKEA furniture. You can check out his website http://www.assembleeverything.ca/ for more information.

I have very mixed feelings about this company. At the beginning they said all the right things but the execution left a lot to be desired. We had an already existing backsplash that we wanted to save but we needed to get rid of our outdated countertop. They came to our house and spent an hour measuring (we even removed a small square of countertop on the right side of our stove so there would be no mystery about the measurements. On the day of installation, nothing fit properly. Even the square of countertop has to be trimmed to fit and a small portion of our backsplash had to be ripped out to get the huge piece of countertop to fit. On the plus side, the countertop is gorgeous and we love the look of it. The downside was that it didn't just slide into place. Their punctuality was not great, either. Despite the assurances of the installer that they would cover the cost of the damage to our backsplash, I never received a follow-up contact to see if I was happy with the work that was done. It was only $200 for our handyman to fix it and it wasn't worth it to me to get upset all over again to contact them. If you decide to go with this company, just be prepared to stay on top of them because once the cheque is cashed they vanish (at least they did in my case.)

After getting several jaw-dropping quotes to get our 25 year old kitchen cabinets replaced, we decided to go the economical route and get them repainted instead. Tanya did an amazing job with the repainting (check out the white cupboards) and our kitchen was out-of-commission for only a few days (instead of the six weeks any renovation would have taken). Tanya is clearly passionate about her work and dedicated to doing a great job. Even when the hinges she planned to replace our old hinges with were discontinued, she was tireless in finding a suitable replacement! If you're happy with your current configuration of kitchen cabinets and just want a fresh-looking kitchen, you can't go wrong with this company.
