On September 21, 2017, I requested for an appointment with a Handyman for September 26. I received an email from them confirming that their Handyman Dragos would be arriving between 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. However when he did not show up even by then I called them and it turned out they they not only switched the handyman but double booked him on that day and he was working somewhere else at 11:15 a.m. on that day. I ended up wasting half a work day. I then asked them for another appointment and was given an appointment with handymen Jeff who was scheduled to arrive on October 4, 2017 between 8:00 - 9:30 a.m. This time things went smoothly. Jeff arrived on time and did a great job and the price was reasonable. I did have to press them to get my invoice though. It seems they are slow in billing. They also currently have clearance from WSIB under the business name 1642467 ONTARIO LTD. / PEGASUS which is a must for the hirer's liability if you get work done in a place that is not your own home. So between a score of 0 for the no show and 5 for the good work over 2 appointments, the average score is 2.5 but I gave them a 3. Will continue to use them as once the appointment does occur they are pretty good.

I reserved this company on the phone for painting my condo. Alexia and Merry were very courteous and professional and explained the booking and payment process quickly. I was told it would take 2 days for my condo to be painted so they booked me for 2 days of "Painter for the day". The downside was it was not until I contacted them the day before the start date did Sarah tell me that owing to the winter storm earlier in the week, they had scheduling delays and would not be able to start painting on the appointment date. Since I had made prior arrangements to be available on those 2 days only to instruct the painter on what needed to be done, I spoke to Christine, the VP and informed Sarah about it. They took care of the issue quickly and informed me that a painter named Gezim had been assigned for the original appointment date. Gezim was absolutely a great painter. He finished the job in less than a day and a half with 2 coats of paint and was meticulous in his work. Since he finished early, Christine authorized a payment credit of the extra hours back to me. I am truly very satisfied with this company and the painter and would certainly use them again!

A few years ago when I wanted my cuckoo clock overhauled completely I went to see Willem. This means complete disassembly and cleaning of the movement and then reassembly. Upon bringing the clock I heard from the shop how bothersome the repair of cuckoos was giving me the feeling that they did not like to repair cuckoos. I left it with them anyway and upon pickup I found the movement oiled only and not overhauled completely like I wanted. The charges were a bit more than I was quoted but I got a 1 year repair warranty. I do not recommend servicing your cuckoos here.

They were hired for a condo move out cleaning. They are a bit hard to contact as sometimes no one picks up the phone and the voice mail is not activated so one cannot leave a voice mail. Once contacted an appointment was made fairly quickly. The team consisting of 2 women showed up a bit late and did not have a step ladder to clean high areas.One of them was quick and efficient while the other a bit slow. Hence the work took an hour longer.and a bit more expensive. The foyer area was overlooked so I phoned Jacob a few times to let him know this and he always promised to have it corrected in a few days but never followed through from October till today (December).

We do apologize for the poor correspondence however you always call from a private number and we don't generally pick up unknown calls (and this was mentioned to you on previous occasions prior to the cleaning job!). We do our best to maintain solid communication before during and after the cleaning. To respond to your review, our policy is that we offer a guarantee that if you are not happy with the cleaning then you do not pay until you are satisfied. You had a chance to walk through with the cleaners and they were able to show you all of the areas they cleaned. They worked extremely hard, washing all the door frames, windows, window frames, doors and baseboards in your unit as well as scrubbing down every inch of the washrooms and kitchen! You were pleased at the time because you signed off on the work and proceeded with payment. Our policy for this is very clear and written on the invoice you signed. We do not normally come back and re clean things, if we are already there with our materials we are happy to fix anything that doesn't meet your expectations, before you make a payment. I received a call from you long after the cleaning explaining that there was one baseboard in your front foyer that was not completed. I had offered a date that I was available personally to come and fix this for you but you declined that date. With all due respect, cleaning of a condo can take more than 5hrs to complete everything thoroughly and you had limited the girls to finish within 5hrs time. I believe the cleaners did focus on the most important areas of your home (Your kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms etc) and your review is (although, your prerogative) basically written in spite that I have not returned to wipe one baseboard down in your front foyer. I know that you were very pleased with the girls work and what was cleaned and apologize if our customer service has not extended further to meet your expectations.

I needed a condo move out carpet cleaning urgently. This company accommodated me while no one else could. Ruby, the scheduler spoke to me on the phone and gave me a verbal estimate and then emailed it to me with instructions. The appointment was at 2:00 p.m., however the technician showed up at 2:30 p.m. due to traffic. Ruby left me a voice mail to say he was delayed. Daltony, the technician was very professional and did a fine job detoxifying and steam cleaning my carpet which now looks very good. I would highly recommend this company without hesitation and would definitely use them again.

I had a good experience in general with Rent-A-Son for my within Toronto move on October 1, 2013. The move coordinator Hussain was very professional and courteous and sent me an in house estimator to come and visually estimate the amount of time, people and boxes required. The estimator was also very courteous, however in the end both the movers and myself realized that he underestimated the number of boxes required for the move. This resulted in the movers getting delayed as they had to hand carry small items. Hence a friend and myself had to scurry to get some bags and then help the movers stuff things in the bags, else we would be way over the stipulated time. Besides the usual furniture, I had some antique clocks. It is sad that one of the original bone hands was broken. In addition, one lamp shade and one plastic storage box was broken as well. However, in general the move was less stressful owing to these guys. Hussain even phoned me to find out how the move went. In general I would use this company again but would request more boxes than what the estimator says are needed.
