We've been needing our gas fireplaces serviced for several years, and with the pandemic/lockdown, we had put it off for too long. One fireplace no longer turned on, and we wanted to enjoy them over the coming winter. So I turned to Homestars to determine who to call. I called two places, but decided on Imran at Gas Fireplace Services because I liked that he was a one-man company and not a big firm, which I felt meant he would likely care about his work. Turns out: I was right. Imran is very meticulous, friendly, reliable and provides truly excellent service. He fixed our non-functioning fireplace, cleaned up the rocks (even laying down fresh sand) and relaid the logs - it really looks beautiful and brand new. I was very pleased with the work and we will definitely call him for yearly service. Highly recommend without reservation.

Three years ago, we were very excited to install an in-ground pool in our backyard. We hired a well-known pool cleaning service to keep the waters clean and clear. But, over the past two summers, our pool water was stagnant, dirty and clogged and we were unable to enjoy our pool. Frustrated, late this summer, we fired the other pool service company and searched for a new one. I was thrilled when I heard about about Olympic, and contacted them to enquire if they were taking on new clients (fortunately for me, yes!). I couldn't be happier. The team they send to clean our pool every week is diligent and conscientious, and our pool has honestly never been cleaner. The water is crystal clear now; my husband is very happy and it's so nice knowing we can enjoy our pool every day, every weekend! It feels very good to be in the hands of a reputable, trustworthy, knowledgeable and caring company. I know that whatever future issue we have with our pool, it will be handled with speed and thoroughness. I cannot recommend Olympic highly enough. I am very impressed, and pleased with their service; their hard work, knowledge and commitment is the reason they have such a high ranking here on HomeStars and it's well deserved. 10 stars!!

I am surprised that I haven't written a review already for Hargrave HVAC. Tim and his amazing company came in to our new house (well, six years old now) to assess the problems we were having with our furnace and HVAC systems. Once they had reviewed everything, we learned that the previous company had not followed code to install gas lines, wrong size furnaces had been installed, etc. When Enbridge came in to inspect, they were shocked to find 37 violations committed by the previous company, and the Enbridge inspector told us how lucky we were that Tim is so knowledgeable and is really an expert in his field. Tim and all of the people from Hargrave have been honest, dependable and entirely trustworthy. We now use Hargrave regularly for maintenance of our heating and A/C systems and could not recommend them highly enough.

They came to fix our dishwasher, which was leaving grime and gunk on our dishes, and the top drawer kept getting stuck. In addition, our washing machine stopped working. They ordered a new part and came back within a week to replace and repair the washing machine. They even texted to let me know that they would be late. Thanks very much! Everything is working perfectly!

My iMac is about four years old, and I am NOT computer savvy. My computer has never been updated, and I have loads of photos, music and videos saved. Eventually, of course, this led to problems with Flash, Adobe, and I noticed it was running more slowly. Since the iMac is so darned heavy, I didn't want to schlep it into a store for a fix. I looked up on-site computer services on HomeStars and found PC Service on Site. They sent a very nice, cheerful and friendly guy - Chris. He was awesome. He updated my computer and made everything easy - it will update on its own and save everything without me having to do anything. I would highly recommend Chris and the PC Service on Site group for any computer fixes or maintenance!! Thank you so much!

Two years ago, we had a roof leak, which caused major damage to our walk-in closet and down into the first floor mudroom closet in our new house. The builder came in to fix the roof and tore everything out of our mudroom - the crown mouldings, closets and the ceilings .. and then left with the job half-done. Timber Wolf had been doing work in two of our friends' homes, and they were very pleased, so we decided to call them to finish our half-done job. From the beginning, they were fantastic and trust me - from the experience of building our own home, we know good contractors and tradespeople from the bad ones. Mark from Timber Wolf came in, and gave us an honest assessment and a fair quote (and once we saw the quality of their work, we added more work to be done around the house!) They arranged everything, and kept us in the loop as to when the work would be done, when ordered parts had arrived and when they would be back to finish. All of the work was done very professionally and the guys were friendly and always kept the worksites clean. We were very pleased and would hire them again, and recommend them without hesitation. My garage door has been stubbornly refusing to open more than a foot at a time, and I finally decided to get it fixed. I checked Homestars, and called Markham Garage Doors Ltd. I was impressed and pleased with the service from start to finish. Ernie came to my house on the same day, fixed my garage door and even shovelled away the ice from underneath the garage door so it would no longer be impeded. Friendly, professional and cheerful! We have an old 60" plasma tv that was on our floor in the front entrance, and we need to get rid of it - and quickly - before a big party. I called a couple other places, but they weren't sure if they could come in two days. I emailed ridofit, and picked my window (next day) for pick up. I received a prompt email back saying they would arrive the next day at the scheduled time. On the following morning, they called to say they were on their way. Garrison and Tim were polite, friendly and on time - and promptly got rid of my giant broken television. I would recommend them without hesitation!! Thanks, guys!

These guys (Sherwin and Jamie) are awesome! I called them because I heard birds in my chimney and they came straight away. (In fact, I was so pleased to hear someone say, "We'll make it work - no problem!" when I told them how high my chimney is - you never hear THAT any more!!). They were very professional, helpful and friendly, and they fixed the problem (removal of birds from chimney). They also capped off all of my chimneys (I have four on an extremely tall and slanted roof) so that I won't have this problem any more and their work is guaranteed. I will most definitely call them if I have any problems with pests, and highly recommend their services. Thanks so much!!

Based on the reviews on homestars, I called Maple Window & Eaves to clean the eaves of both my garage and home (they are separate). They came promptly to give me a quote and I was pleased with the reasonable cost. I arranged for them to come in a week, which they did and the two fellows were very pleasant, professional and did a superb job. They went out of their way to clean the silicone off the windows (it's a new build) and even cleaned the roof of my garage. Going the extra mile is so rare in today's market, but so appreciated. I would definitely recommend this company to any friends or family. Thank you!!
