I called Elite Appliance Service recently regarding an issue with our clothes dryer. Atlan, the technician who came to our house, was courteous, professional and knowledgeable and managed to do a temporary repair so I could use the dryer while he awaited the necessary parts. The job was completed promptly and we're very pleased with the results. Thank you, Atlan! The phone staff were also great throughout the process. I would not hesitate to use Elite again. And am happy to recommend the company to friends and family.

We were introduced to Suds Windows by our next-door neighbour, who highly recommended the company for seasonal cleaning of eavestroughs and windows. We first used Suds in the spring for our troughs and were very pleased — with both the job AND the crew! Derek, Matthew and Tyler are professional, great to deal with, accommodating to our needs — and did the job quickly, and well. Including all tidying up. We look forward to using them again in the spring and are happy to recommend them to our neighbours and friends. Thank you, Derek and crew! We appreciate your help in taking care of our home.

When I found a “Dear Neighbour” flyer from Annex Painting in our mailbox this past spring and read the note from the company's owner, I admit I was intrigued. Lukas began his note by touching briefly on the negative experiences we’ve all had with work on our homes — from the terrible quality of the job and no cleanup of the site to extended timelines and the rudeness of workers. I could definitely relate to that! Lukas then briefly described what Annex Painting had to offer: “A quality job at a reasonable price, using top-of-the-line paint and supplies” and underscored that Annex Painting’s values “centred around respect for our customers and delivering what we promise.” We decided to give Annex Painting a call. And as that famous line goes, “we’re so glad we did!’ From our first site meeting with Lukas [who arrived promptly, btw] and his delivery of a detailed description of the work involved to a final warm handshake at the end of a job well done, we’re delighted with our first experience with Annex Painting and look forward to using them again on future painting projects. The Annex Painting crew — Bryan and Josué — were a pleasure to have at our home. They did a thorough prep of the painting area, took the time needed to make sure all surfaces received the requisite coats of paint [including touchups, where needed] and did a great cleanup at the end of each day. They also gave us a walk-around of the job at each day’s end to make sure we were pleased with the progress of the painting. Thank you, Annex Painting! Well done….:)

We continue to be very pleased with the furnace, water heater and A/C unit that Belyea Bros installed [in our older Victorian home] a number of years ago. And it's always a pleasure to have Belyea's courteous and pleasant maintenance crew take care of seasonal servicing. Paul arrived promptly, did our furnace maintenance quickly and efficiently — AND did a great clean-up afterward! Thank you, Paul. A pleasure to meet you! And thank you, Elaine, for always responding to our calls so graciously! We look forward to a cozy winter...:)

After spotting the cool and very professional-looking WOW 1 DAY PAINTING van in my neighbourhood, I was intrigued. Then I checked out the great reviews on HomeStars and decided to give the company a try on a small but important painting job — repairing and painting the Victorian trim around several newly installed windows and doors. Ben Grieve, the area manager, arrived promptly and reviewed the job with me. He was a pleasure to deal with — as was Alex, the excellent and meticulous painter he scheduled for us. A great painting job — and a great introduction to the company. [Full disclosure: Once Alex had finished painting, he took me on a tour, room by room, to make sure I was satisfied. And yes, the first thing I said was "WOW!"] Would definitely use WOW 1 DAY PAINTING again.

On a friend's recommendation, we decided to visit Bloor Dovercourt Appliances in April to look at washing machines. [Our old machine finally gave out after 16 years!] From our first phone conversation with owner Joe Perketa, we couldn't ask for better service. Avo, the sales manager, and his colleague, André, provided helpful information in-store and happily took a number of phone queries before purchase. When we couldn't turn off the taps for the old machine in advance of installation, Avo sent his service guy, Conrad, to help us — in 15 minutes, and free of charge! [Conrad also dropped by quickly to correct a small post-install vibration. Again, free of charge.] Scott and Dave handled the tricky delivery to our old basement and installed the new washer with expertise [and good humour!]. They were a pleasure to have in the house. Throughout the whole experience, we felt like we were valued customers. And we appreciate that! It was also great to deal with a local store and to receive such quick and considerate service. We look forward to using Bloor Dovercourt Appliances again and will definitely recommend the store to family and friends. Our thanks to Joe, Avo, André, Conrad, Scott and Dave. P.S. We've been delighted Belyea Bros clients for several years now — after the installation of both a new furnace and an air-conditioning system in a Victorian Annex semi. The staff are a pleasure to deal with, as are the technicians. Anthony Mazzatenta did the spring check-up of our Attic Pak A/C unit a few days ago. He arrived on time and was professional, courteous, knowledgeable — and very patient at explaining everything to us! We look forward to welcoming him back.
