the paint job was sloppy, they clogged the downspout with construction debris, they cut down a tree by accident. The eaves were installed so poorly they flooded my basement and leaked into my guest bedroom. The guy means well but he just doesn't know what the heck he is doing
The first maid they sent was good, but she promptly left the company. They sent me four more maids, each worse than the other. One maid merely moved the dirt around. The next maid left the floors so sticky I had to re-do all the mopping. The next one left EVERY LIGHT IN THE HOUSE ON. The last one left moldy sponges in my cleaning toolkit-- and feces inside my toilet brush canister. When I complained about the last one, the manager screamed and accused me of making up the whole thing. To which I replied, I wish I were. Needless to say, I fired them.
To Our Dear Valued Readers, I want to express my disapointment with this very negative comment/review and to caution you when you read it. We have been in business for over 35 years and have a very large client base that is very happy with our service. My office staff and myself work very closely with our professional cleaners whom we love and value. We love what we do and feel a great satisfaction in taking care of our client's homes - making their lives easier. Our cleaners are fully trained and have to go through several processes to be hired with us. We take the quality of our cleaning and cleaners very seriously. This type of work mentioned in the review would not happen with us.

I've had two cleaners from Homestead Maids over several months (and one of them was suppose to be the one training their other maids, therefore the best) Neither of them had any eye for dirt or detail whatsoever. I live in a tidy household of two professionals with no kids, so the house never gets that dirty. But after several visits and many complaints to Homestead management, my tub was still caked with soap scum and my kitchen floor was dull and sticky. Apparently, their maids also don't know what mold or mildew looks like because one tile in my bathtub area was repeatedly passed over and ended up looking like some exotic cheese. Not only can they not clean, but my bathroom often looked duller and sticker after they've serviced it. Do not waste you money on this service! Pass the word around. I am with [competitor - ed.] right now and am quite happy with it. Oct 2012 This is in response to Mark's comment on my 2008 review. I was an actual client. I still have your receipts. I complained to you and you told me my expectations were too high. You said your ladies aren't gonna get down on their hands and knees to clean my bathroom. Gee, how else are they going to get to the corners? Your extremely tardy response is a good indication of the level of service that your company gives. Now move on, leave me alone, and focus your energy on improving your service.
I was not aware of the existence of Homestars until recently ( October 2012 ) . Homestars has just informed me that it's too late to contest a review from so far back . But I believe this review does not originate from an actual client . If that's not the case , then I invite CGT in Roncesvalles to call and identify yourself please . Mark
