We used Carole for our kitchen renovation. We gave the "designer" the plans and appliance info. to help lay out and order cabinets. She came to the house to do final measurements. When cabinets came in, we learned her measurements were wrong, some of the cabinets were damaged, pieces were missing, wrong cabinets were delivered multiple times. The many problems we have had held up our whole project (which was a large home renovation, not just kitchen - this had a large effect!) and caused problems with our contractor. They would not compensate us for the numerous problems and did not really take responsibility for the problems. One example - when we realized that our appliances did not work in a cabinet, they told us that the cabinet manufacturer we had did not do custom cabinets so the cabinet is what it is. We gave the "designer" the plans & appliance info. before we chose the cabinets - she should have looked at the information and advised us of the cabinet manufacturers that would not work. Instead, she recommended these cabinets and said they'd work for us, when they don't. Their prices are also not good. We looked at cabinet hardware there. The exact same hardware at Home Depot Expo was over 20% less. I'm sure we overpaid for the cabinets (at $17k) and had the hassles on top of it.
