Stuart is new to HomeStars. He did an amazing job inspecting our old,then installing our new,dishwasher. He was very prompt in accepting the job and showing up the same day to do the emergency service call. He is extremely knowledgable and hard working, and a great communicator as to his whereabouts and when he will be arriving. When we learned we needed a new dishwasher, he was available to do the installation on the chosen day. The work was done extremely well and Stuart left the site clean and tidy. He had already put in a long day's work and worked into the evening to complete our task. He was careful around the pets and took off his boots at the door like a gentleman.

The bathroom in our semi-detached East York was overdue for a total makeover. We found 6ix Build Interiors on Homestars and invited them to quote on our job. After an on-site inspection and discussion, we chose Michael and 6ix Build based on meeting him and reading the company's strong reviews. Best decision ever! Michael's amazing attention to detail throughout the processfrom early ordering of materials, to choosing products and navigating the renovation itselfwas superb. No question was too small or insignificant. His trades people were terrific too, from the demolition crew, to the window installer, and the people who did the tiling, tub/toilet/vanity installation, drywall and paint. Clean, considerate and professional. Everything was done promptly, daily, with no gaps in service. After having had a horrendous experience with the individual who did our kitchen, we were thrilled to find 6ix Build Interiors to be honest professionals. Our tiny bathroom probably wasn't much fun to work in, but these guys were real pros and we think it looks like a million bucks now! Thanks 6ix Build!

We hired Mr. Mow It All in August 2022 to install Pea Gravel in our small, East York back yard in order to make the space more attractive and easier to care for. As requested, I sent the company photos of the existing yard, explaining by email that I wanted the area of dirt (formerly lawn) covered with gravel. I also sent helpful photos of my neighbour's yard for reference, as they had essentially done the same thing to their space. I heard back from James B., a customer sales representative who asked if I was available to meet him to discuss the job. As I was in another city at the time, I offered to reschedule the suggested meeting time or have someone else meet him in my place. He declined the suggestion, but visited the job site and sent me an estimate which included levelling and removing topsoil, installing landscaping fabric and supplying/installing the pea gravel. I accepted. After being rescheduled twice, the job was completed in mid-September. I was not contacted during the installation or afterward to ensure satisfaction (e.g., sending a photograph). When I returned and saw the work, which itself was adequate and tidy, a large (2-3ft) strip on dirt was left uncovered beside my garage. When I contacted James B., the sales agent, he explained that he was "under the impression" that there was to be a strip left to install a garden. I absolutely hadn't given any such direction; I was disappointed that the job was incomplete. Being polite, I suggested that there had been a misunderstanding and asked what the company could do complete the job. Their offer? A quote of almost $400 to install a yard of mulch to cover the strip! There was many emails back and forth, and when I mentioned the company's 100% satisfaction guarantee, I was told it didn't apply to me. I have read similar statements in other reviews here. The company's position simply doesn't make sense. I had already laid down some mulch beside my garage in order to abut the gravel I was expecting there. Also, if I had wanted a "garden strip" beside my garage I would have asked them to install some rockery to mark off that area as a garden. That's not what I asked for. For the company to have made a mistake like this, and not simply rectified it, is mind-boggling. Instead, they tried to say I "changed the scope of work" after the fact, and sent demeaning emails. Very rude, very unacceptable. Beware.

Our family home needed a deep cleaning after being rented out for a year. I had not used Squeaky Clean before, but I read the online reviews and was impressed. I took a chance and was not disappointed; in fact, I was extremely pleased. The cleaners were very polite and professional and extremely hard working. All the appliances, the kitchen, the bathrooms and flooring was immaculate when they were finished. Communication with the company was very easy and they followed up nicely to ensure I was satisfied. I will be using Squeaky Clean for my cleaning needs going forward!

These people did great work. They were on time, followed the estimate and worked hard. The product line was comparable to more expensive firms. They cleaned up afterwards. We were very satisfied and would highly recommend them.

We found our experience with Abraham and Multiple Choice Flooring totally professional and positive. From first contact, Abraham was prompt in his response and a pleasure to deal with. We had to scale back the original job idea due to changing circumstances but Abraham was unfazed and sent a revised estimate. The men worked very hard to install the new carpeting and cleaned up completely afterwards . I would not hesitate to recommend this company and will use them again in the future.

First off, no one asked us to write this review. I met with three different companies, and we chose General Flooring. Zoe was a big help throughout, as the office manager. She explained everything in a friendly manner and was transparent and professional! Communication was really great with everyone. The workers were punctual, hard-working and extremely diligent. They got the job done (the upstairs of our larger semi-detached East York home) in two longish days. We installed engineered hardwood. Cutting was done outdoors and dust minimized. Clean up was perfect. I would not hesitate to employ this company again for further work and highly recommend them!

We hired Dante's through Jiffy to power-wash our back deck. They answered the call promptly. The communication was good, even though we had to wait a day or two due to the rainy weather. They were transparent about the quote and the measurements and did a great job. I would have given a full score if I had known ahead of time that deck railings and considered an additional measurement. I understand why it would be extra, but I would have liked to have known that ahead of time.

Pasquale came in to fix and finish a job in our kitchen. He installed a drain and faucet in the kitchen. He was extremely professional and very reasonable. He is a licenced plumber. He charged according to his quotation. We would not hesitate to recommend Pasquale and Done Rite Plumbing.

We used Davidson Masonry to repair some brick work on the inside of our home. We had some damage and the quite a bit of brick needed replacing. We found him by chance when he was working at a site around the corner. Neil was a super hard worker and greatly skilled. He was very honest and pleasant to work with. It was a smallish job but he took every bit of care to do it right. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend him!

We have used Sal twice: once to install an outdoor fixture and indoor potlights , and the second time to do some extensive electrical finishing work on a renovation project. Both time Sal exceeded our expectations as superior electrician and professional. Sal is conscientious about time and efficiency. He makes great suggestions for products and the latest gadgets on the market that could make your life easier (e.g., a remote dimmer switch!). He really knows his stuff. Sal saved us a huge amount of money when we decided to use him after our general contractor abandoned our job and left the electrical finishing work undone. Finally, Sal came over to fix something at our home the day he was flying out of the country. Who does that? What a great guy. Thank Sal.

We have used Stephen for years on various projects big and small. Stephen is one of the most decent, reliable and honest people I have ever met. There are many things I love about Stephen's work, namely: - his meticulous attention to detail; - his experience and capabilities; - his sense of fairness; - his love of pets in the house! We have had Stephen install a new ceiling in our bedroom, paint most of the rooms in our home, repair and replace doors, do minor plumbing work (i.e., change taps out)...there's probably more that I can't even remember. He is a neighbor, and has a key to our house in case we are away and anything goes wrong. We trust him as a person and as a handyman 100%. Thank you Stephen.
