2/10

The project commenced on August 19th 2008, he was given the project to frame, drywall and paint our basement that had already 6 mil poly and insulation. He demaded some cash to start the job, frequently asked me last minute to use my credit card to rent tools from a box store. I started to get worried when he was purchasing last minute items such as buckets to mix the drywall mud, and or tools that he never had for dry walling, yet he stated he did this before. His workers would show up stating they are doing a favor for Steve by drywalling, taping and mudding. As many as 5 people would "work" in the basement and only on sheet of pro roc board will be screwed in the studs. Towards the end, after demands of coffee, donuts and coke/water, he said he was too stressed to finish the job and took to many other jobs, he took his tools and left while I was at work and the wife was at home. He did not finish the t-bar he agreed to install, and later stated he is not a t-bar cieling expert. Above all avoid this person, he always wants cash, and will not finish the job. After completing the job myself and getting another contractor who is professional and will clean up after themselves, you do get what you pay for.
