After a successful first job, I hired these guys back to come lower my shower and install the Schluter waterproofing. They were efficient, friendly and easy to work with. Happy to recommend these guys to family and friends.

it wasn't the easiest or most straight forward job in that I'm in the middle of my basement reno (doing a lot of it myself) and not all of the walls were even up. Without complaining the guys worked hard around my mess and were accommodating and when they weren't sure of something they called me down to take a look or to provide my thoughts -which I really appreciated. They went the extra mile in several ways and didn't even mention it but I noticed afterwards.

The Good: I now have a nice dry and flat basement floor where before there were leaks and the concrete was all slanted towards the drain. The pricing was better than the other quotes I got. The workers were accommodating The Bad: 1. They disconnected the main grounding wire and forgot to reconnect it. Major "no-no". You can't just disconnect a home's main grounding wire and walk away. This is a major safety hazard. 2. Apparently they had extra cement and thought it would be a good idea to pour it on my fence supports without our permission. See update below... 3. They left messes everywhere for me to cleanup. A pile of debris half buried in my driveway and other places (see pictures), cement on my window from the pour, concrete. Drop sheet protection was totally inadequate, leaving a daily mess and permanently marking my floor due to heavy equipment. 4. While there were a couple of really nice and friendly guys working for them, they were the ones horribly mistreated by the other (presumably more senior) staff. Many of the workers did not speak English but those that did spent most of their time yelling and demeaning their team. Update: Upon reading my review, Tony (a manager) quickly contacted us and drove right over to see the items noted above. He acknowledged the shortcomings, apologized deeply, promised to speak with his team. They showed up the following day and cleaned up the debris, fixed up the poured concrete around the fence and layed down a bed of fresh gravel for their driveway. While the cement pour was a poor decision, it was a mistake that I'm sure will never happen again. Based on this thorough follow up I will be much more likely to recommend them in the future. Update>upon opening my floor back up in order to install my shower I found out that despite what I was told they did not put plastic under the concrete.

Thank you David for your feedback, and for allowing Anta to provide you with a level and dry basement. The photo of the sump pump installation is a great work-in-progress shot, and shows the many projects underway. Keep in mind that your sump should have a twice yearly maintenance to clear debris and dirt, thereby providing you with optimal performance and protection. Remember that you are also eligible to apply for a City rebate for the sump pump installation. You will need to have an electrician for the ground wire, as only a qualified professional can do this type of work. At Anta Plumbing customer satisfaction is important, and all our staff strive to provide the best service possible. Our drain technicians were able to give your fence more stability in those areas. We value all our customers' responses and feedback, as continuous improvement and growth is vital in any industry. Thank you for choosing Anta Plumbing, we look forward to being of service to you and your home in the future.

It wasn't an easy job, but these guys pulled it off wonderfully. They were very accomodating in working with me and fixing my shoty workmanship. There are two very slight bulges at butt joints, which I'm not sure if they just weren't sanded enough or what, but my ceiling was far from flat, so it's plausible this was due to a ceiling joist being too saggy. But if that's the case, then the only thing I wish is that they would have brought it to my attention before leaving. He could have said "I'm afraid this is the best I can do since your joist sags too much" -instead of leaving me to guess what went wrong. Still, it's only two butt joints (both at opposite ends of the same joists), and like I said, they did a hell of a job fixing over everything else in my old house. One thing is for sure, it was money well spent and I'm glad I didn't opt to do it myself!

We are very pleased to have great customers such as you David and your honest feedback means a lot to us. You have been very accommodating from the beginning to the end and you trusted us to do our work without hesitation.
This is a great complement to us. You said you are happy with our services and your money was well spent, but you wish we have better addressed the slight bulging area in your ceiling (this is most likely due to the old ceiling joists sagging which is very common in older homes). With your permission we will take another look at your ceiling to see what can be done. We are very happy to do this for you.
Many Thanks Peter Wanke.

I knew I was going to like working with Larry the minute I met him -and he didn't disspaoint. Even though the job ended up taking longer than he though and had to postpone another job he was supposed to go to he kept his demeanor and kept working away until he was done. My only dissapointment was that I forgot to get his business card.

Having had decent service from a $99 duct cleaning before I decided to try my luck again. WORST DECISION EVER! With the vacuum hooked up to my heat duct they began cleaning my COLD return register. There was dust everywhere!! It was so bad there was a cloud of dust that looked as if my house was on fire and filled with smoke. I ran to the other cold air return register to check for suction. There was none. There's no suction I told them. "Yeah we haven't hooked it up to that one yet" was their response! And "don't worry it's just drywall dust" as if that's what I want my 4 year old and 2 year old breathing. Since that particular register was on the wall close to the ceiling I figured they must have mistaken it for a heat register and was ready to forgive them for making that mistake, but they didn't take that "out" and both the guy who did the blowing and his boss confirmed that they didn't make that mistake but knew it was a cold air register. "so where did you expect the dust to go?" I asked. "I don't know what he was thinking" he said. That's why I go out with these guys. "Well you better train him" I said. "He's been at it for 2 years so he should know what he's doing", was his response. "He should have turned down the regulator" he said, which I guess would have sent LESS dust flying through my house with nowhere to go and would have still done nothing for cleaning my ducts. WORST SERVICE EVER! They put more dust in my house in 1 hour than I would have in the next 10 years if I hadn't had them "cleaned".

Unfortunately, this customer's ductwork was not connected properly inside the walls. Over time, as with this 100+ year old house, the ductwork can become disconnected. Apparently, this customer has had problems before with other duct cleaning companies, based on his other reviews on this site. He did not inform us that he knew there was an issue. If we had known, we would have recommended repairs be done before any attempt at cleaning. We did offer to fully refund the customer, but he refused. Sadly, we were not able to satisfy this customer.

update added below... Happy to come back and rate this company. These guys were friendly and professional, did a great job and were more than $250 less than Direct Energy for the same service. I stuck my head in my cold air return and checked it out with a flashlight and I fail to see how DE could have provided $250 more value. ****************** A couple of days after my cleaning I noticed a blanket of dark black dust under one of the vents in my bathroom. I left it there and called Topline to come and take a look. They showed up and said this was just from the dust that may have accumulated on the register itself. He took the register off and cleaned it, put it back and assured me it was clean. I put some register filters on this vent and waited. A couple of days later the filter is getting black. I called Topline to advise that the vent is still dirty and wanted to give them a chance to come back and clean it properly. They advised that it is clean and that the problem is just that my house is very old and the vents were never cleaned. They advised just to change the filters 3 or 4 more times and if it's stil happening to give a call. The next day after my cleaning I was feeling a congestion in my sinus and lungs and I don't even sleep in that room! My wife had a headache, runny nose and sore throat. My son had a sore throat. Now about a week later my 5 month old daughter has a runny nose and can't breath through her nose. The scary part is that is HER ROOM!! A layer of Black dust has settled on everything in her room. We washed her blankets and have vaccumed her carpet numerous times so hopefully we got most of it out. But unfortunately we can't take the dust out of her! With 80-90 year old house which undoubtedly had lead paint on the walls at one point, who knows what is in that dust -AND IN MY FAMILY! They're good guys, and a problem like this could have happend to any company (assuming they really even tried to clean that vent at all which I'm still unsure of), but it's all how you handle it when problems occur -and for that they receive a failing grade. Looks like I should have spent another 250 bucks and gone somewhere else. *************FINAL UPDATE******************* After my update the guys decided to come back today and clean it again. They powered up the vacuum and went to work on the trouble spot. I got a bit dismayed that they didn't bother to close off all the other registers as they had done the first time thus ensuring that there was maximum suction for the trouble spot. I pleaded and so they closed them and tried again. I watched closely and I discovered that the suction at the trouble spot was very low -lower than the other areas. This is most likely the reason for the dirt remaining in this section of pipe. Being an old house (which they reminded me of 10 times) it likely has many holes in the duct work. It turns out it has more to do with my old leaky ducts than doing a poor job. ...but there were things they could have done to improve suction on this spot and I wish they would have either known how or been more willing to do it. As an exmaple they could have not only taped the other registers, but they could have adjusted the main damper so as to direct all of the suction to the proper area ...something I suggested. They're good guys and I'd recommend them to anyone with a new and straight forward duct system -anything that doesn't require problem solving.
