A Smart Roof was a great company to hire and work with. With the major wind storm that wrecked havoc on many roofs in the area, Alan and Kevin were able to come out within a day of scheduling. After sending pictures of the damage via email, I was given a quote online and received a prompt call from Carolyn to book us into the schedule. When Alan and Kevin arrived, they took a quick look, set up, replaced the shingles that had flown away, removed our busted turbine vent and replaced with another, and even did some caulking in places on the roof that seemed to require it. They cleaned up well afterwards and the work was done within the hour. Before writing this, I literally just recommended A Smart Roof to a friend of mine due to some roof issues he was also having, as I would definitely recommend them. Thanks Alan, Carolyn and Kevin!

Tomas replaced one of our storm doors and also installed a storm door on our front entrance. Tomas was easy to communicate with through both HomeStars service request for the quote and text for scheduling. They were on time for both the visit for measurement/quote as well as the installation a couple weeks later. Installation was done quickly within a couple hours, even with the difficulty of our side door's old framing. After the work was done, Tomas explained the work, showed me the functionality of both storm doors and cleaned up well. I would definitely recommend Tomas for any work for doors, windows and other reno.

Hired Beaver Paving to remove our existing front patio, backyard patio, and patio, install interlocking stones in the front and back, and pave the driveway with asphalt. Joe and the crew did an excellent job, ensuring the work was done properly and with quality. My wife and I especially were pleased with how quick the work was -- demo of existing patios and installing the interlock took about a day with the 4-6 man crew. The driveway had to settle so that was done approximately 2-3 weeks after, and the paving of the asphalt took about an hour or so. Everything looks great and Joe and the crew did quality work. My only issue was related to scheduling. I was never given a firm date on when the initial work could get started until the night before. I was luckily able to work from home to be onsite while the work was happening, so this wasn't too big of an issue for me. However, a couple of the guys from the crew came before 7am instead of the 11am time I was told. Honest mistake of going to the wrong site first. They eventually left and came back a bit before 11 with the rest of the crew. Similarly, I didn't have a firm date and time for when the asphalt would be done a few weeks later, until I got about a 15 minute notice that they'd be coming one evening before dinner. Again, not a major issue, since the work was being done outside. All in all, I am pleased with the work and aside from the scheduling issues, I would recommend Beaver Paving.

Joseph and his team did an excellent job with my hardwood install. We hired him to remove existing hardwood, nail down the subfloor, install engineered hickory which we purchased separately, and install baseboards+shoe molding. From the beginning of my interaction with him via Homestars, Joseph would respond quickly to my inquiries, from my quote request, to scheduling him, all the way to completion of the work. It took just 2 days to perform the work for the area we got the install done, approximately 400 sqft. He arrived on time and after the work was competed, it was also on budget with no extra charges. I would not hesitate to hire Joseph again and to recommend him to others. Thanks for the great work!

Greg did an excellent job with all the work he's done for us! After giving us a quote, we were able to hire him within the next few weeks. Initially, we hired Greg to just retile our laundry room and 2 bathrooms. However, after seeing the great job he did, we asked if he could add doing the baseboards for our basement as well. He always made sure that we were happy with the details of the work being done. Every day that he was scheduled to come in, he was on time, patient with my questions, and courteous. The tiling and baseboard work is very precise and looks amazing. I would definitely recommend Greg and NVG! Hired Yuri and his team to replace the damaged siding on one side of our house, as well as replace two pairs of shutters on the front of the house. From start to finish, Yuri was very informative about the job and accommodating to my schedule. When we decided to go with Yuri, he quickly made time to finalize colors. Within 2 or 3 weeks, Yuri and his team was able to schedule and complete the work required, which was within the 4 week timeframe he mentioned most of his jobs get completed in. The job was completed in a day. The only issue was the second floor bathroom's vent cap was knocked off somehow during the work. Yuri ensured this was replaced within the week, so issue solved. I would definitely recommend Yuri and AIMG.

Very pleased with the work Dave and his team (Jason and Dave) did with the install of our new furnace. Since this is the second time I hired them for work, I was able to email directly with them and Elizabeth was always prompt and informative with her replies. Dave was able to come to provide a quote for the work when scheduled and we were able to schedule the work to be done within the next couple of weeks. When Jason and Dave arrived, they were on time, very courteous and also very informative when I had questions. I am satisfied with QuickFast's service and would without question recommend them to others.

Booked Mark to get a quote for what was believed to be a crack in our foundation. I was actually running late for our appointment and he accommodated me and moved my appointment a bit later. He explained the process of fixing the crack, answered any questions I had with thorough responses, and I was able to book him to do the fix. He arrived as per our appointment to get the fix done on-time and after opening the dry wall, he found no evidence that our leaky basement was due to a crack but just a hole in the foundation. Although Mark found an ant infestation in our insulation and soggy drywall, He was able to fix the hole in the foundation at a lower cost than the estimated cost to fix a crack. If you're looking to hire an honest and hard working company, Mark from AquaDry is the guy to call.

Paul, Brent and his team did an excellent job with tearing down one side of our fence, which was in dire need of a facelift, and rebuilding a new full privacy fence. After getting in touch with at least 5 or 6 companies for a site visit and quote in Scarborough, Paul and Brent were the only ones who came by to take a look at give us a quote. They offered options, including just digging and setting our posts, but we decided to hire them to rebuild the whole thing. The team was on time (even a bit early), built the fence about 3 hours quicker than we were quoted, and kept me in the loop with what was going on. I would definitely recommend A Post Dug and Set to anyone looking for quality work.

Integrity roofers has provided quality service with just exactly what they advertise: Integrity. Shay was very informative and open with explaining the work that was involved with removing and replacing our soffits and fascia. IN addition, he was very accommodating with communicating on my schedule via whatever communication method was available; email / text / phone calls. Even with all the snow, Sam and Bill came to scope out the job and ensure me that once the weather cooperated, the work would be completed. And it was just as they said. The Aluminum soffit and fascia work that was quoted to take up to two days was finished in one without sacrificing quality for time. My real estate lawyer recommended Bee Safe and the locksmith came to the house we purchased July 2013 at the exact time that he was scheduled. He provided quick service and pleasant conversation as he changed the locks for three doors. After calling around for a few locksmith companies to compare prices, I felt much more comfortable with Bee Safe and their reliability, compared to some of the shadier companies that tried to get my business. Understandably, I was told they charge a bit more for locations further from their Durham locations. That being said, Bee Safe was definitely reliable and I would gladly recommend them to others who need service near their locations.

Before I moved into a 30 yr old house we purchased, we wanted to put carpeting on the second floor and the stairs. I called Mark with Victorious Flooring and immediately he showed he was professional, knowledgeable about his products, and even accommodating with scheduling. Within a couple of days, he was able to come in to get measurements for the house, provide a consultation with what type of carpet we could and should get, and schedule a time for him and his contractors to install. He also provided plenty of information for us to prepare the areas for him and his team to easily install. The team arrived at the house at the agreed upon time and kept in touch with me throughout the entire job. The installation was done with excellence and precision and the follow-up letter with some details about carpet care was an added bonus. Brian Harley did an excellent and thorough job inspecting the house I am purchasing. He arrived just before the agreed upon time, took his time inspecting the property from the outside working his way inside. The issues found on the house, whether big or small, Brian made sure to advise and explain with patience. With his tools, he was able to find issues with moisture and insulation with ease and accuracy. The home inspection report was sent within a few hours after the inspection was done. Though he his region says Stouffville, Brian was able to inspect my prospective property in Scarborough. I would gladly recommend Brian's services to anyone looking for a quality home inspection.
