My move from my home to a storage unit could have been extremely problematic. It involved extortion and other threats, and the police. The move was an emergency one to which Viktoria responded immediately as well as to my numerous phone calls and emails. Their quote was fixed price and very reasonable. They even returned a week later to rearrange the storage unit for me. I will definitely use Viktoria again and have already referred them. A special thank you to Maria and to Jesse, Eddy and Luca.

Nick transformed our pretty kitchen into a beautiful one. It’s a rather small space and the cabinets were dark. He replaced all cabinet doors and drawers with new, cream-coloured shaker fronts, and painted the sides and trim, etc. Nick was a joy to have around; his constant smile and pleasant manner was infectious.

Metro is our go-to company for anything electrical. We have had a lot of work done by Tony, and this time by Mike and Adam. I have pages of notes I took from Tony's last visit, from giving me explanations on 'how things work" and advice. So much appreciated. I should have written a review. If I had, I would have given 5 stars. This review is for the most recent work done. 5 stars for sure. Mike and Adam were right on time. They were friendly and engaging...which never hurts...and worked diligently, educating us as to what they were doing along the way. When they were done, they walked me through their finished work to make sure I approved. They cleaned up and removed all garbage and packaging with them.

We had our retractable screen door installed two years ago, in the fall. We have now enjoyed it for 2 full years and can't believe how we lived without it. We live in a townhouse community. Many of our neighbours have lovely glass storm doors but they don't allow the air in. Others have the unattractive 1/2 glass, 1/2 screen doors. Ours is the best of both worlds; it allows both the light and the air to brighten up our large foyer. And it's invisible. Can't beat it for function and appearance.

We discovered Casalife at the Interior Design Show a couple of years ago where we purchased a climbing man for our living room wall. When we heard that they had opened an outlet close to us, we rushed to see the store. There we found a million things that we wanted to buy but decided on one, the seatbelt chair. Not one person who has come to visit has not commented on both of these beautiful pieces. Did I get my double negative right? They are both conversation pieces.

For close to 30 years, I have gone nowhere but to Tony's for my flooring, whether tiling, old school linoleum, wall-to-wall broadloom, stair carpeting, custom-sized carpets. Their selection, advice and service can't be topped.

This is my second or third review for DanMac. I am so impressed with them that I just posted a kudos message on Facebook. Our dishwasher went on the fritz two days ago, on a Sunday evening, close to midnight. We closed the shutoff but it was still allowing water to enter, then leave, the dishwasher. Water, water everywhere, all over our hardwood floor, and through ceilings on two floors. Closed the main shutoff. Called DanMac, left a message for them to call the next day, and went to bed. DanMac called early Monday and suggested we get the dishwasher repairman in asap. We did and he came at 7pm, after we had been waiting since 1pm. He said we needed a plumber. So we left another message for DanMac. Not an emergency since we can live another day without water. DanMac called early in the morning and arranged to send a plumber to help us. Enter Dave D. He fixed us up. Friendly, smiley, quick, tidy and rather good-looking to boot. Thanks, DanMac, once again.

Last summer our AC, which is water-cooled, started to squeal. Most of the time, but not all the time. We had it looked at a couple of times. One guy said it was the ducts, not the AC. The other came when the squealing wasn't happening. We gave up. Fast forward to this year. Turned the AC on. Squealing. Even our neighbours heard it. We called Schomberg. Mike came yesterday and discovered the problem and fixed it. Super guy. We were very happy with him and his work. Thank you?

Impressed with the service from DanMac. We had a pedestal sink removed and a new one installed in Dec/13. The plumber (keith, kevin?) arrived on time, was professional, friendly and left the bathroom spotless. Called DanMac for a separate unrelated incident 2 weeks ago. We've had trouble with water under our jacuzzi for 4 years now. Plumbers, jacuzzi maufacturers, no one was able to figure it out. We called DanMac. Patrick arrived on time and solved the problem!! Bad caulking was the answer. Thank you, Patrick. You were super. And friendly. You explained everything you were doing, as you checked all the plumbing and then found the caulking problem. We should have called you guys sooner!

Five years ago, we had a major house fire. The house was gutted down to the 2x4s due to all the smoke and water damage. A year later it was rebuilt, at which time we had the ducts cleaned, or so we though, by an unnamed company. We were always amazed at the speed with which dust would appear on the furniture after each time the house was cleaned. A few weeks ago we saw a Marketplace episode on duct cleaning horror stories. They targeted one company in particular. Yes, the one who calls you almost every day. The one that works out of India. The show stressed that you hire a company who is a member of NADCA. So, I Googled duct cleaners and NADCA and found Paul and his Duct Cleaning Specialists. Wow. Success and satisfaction on all counts. Top-notch. You would not believe the crap that was in our ducts; big pieces of insulation, batteries, 6" pieces of 2x4s. I imagine that they even found soot from the fire still in the ducts. And my breathing....it isn't labored anymore. Wish we had paid attention to our bodies and called someone sooner. Call Paul. I am so happy we did that I have even done a Facebook posting lauding his company and warning against hiring the wrong company.
