Sueland Moving came to our rescue! With only two weeks to go to moving day, the two young men who would be our muscle during the move, fell ill, and not intentionally! One was my son with a collapsed lung and the other his friend, who slipped on ice and had staples in his head. Apart from worrying about them, where was I going to get movers on such short notice?! I checked online and found others booked. Then I looked at Homestars and found one. They were booked as well but referred me to another mover, Sueland Moving. Come to think of it now, I should call to thank them for that as I could not have been happier with that referral. Sueland was busy as well but after hearing our story, they worked us in to their schedule! We had already moved much of the smaller items ourselves but needed help with the larger ones. They managed to get a good team of their movers together to do it quickly and seamlessly! They took good care of all our treasured things and ensured everything was well protected. The whole team was terrific! From Ragina in the office co-ordinating the trucks and movers and relaying our unique story to Leyland. To Leyland for listening to our story and accommodating us, coming out to assess our move and seeing it through to the end to ensure it went smoothly for us. To last, but certainly not least, the movers who do all the heavy lifting in not always the best of weather conditions and make sure that all of your valuables are well taken care of. They work like a well-oiled machine with the guidance they are given as they go. They were all patient and understanding. Thank you Leyland for accepting the job at such short notice. I have no idea what we would have done otherwise! I would refer Sueland in a heartbeat!

After we bought our new home, we wanted an egress window put in before renovations were started to finish the basement. We had tight timelines and a couple of other considerations. I had no referrals so I decided to check Homestars, since I have used and trusted their listings in the past. I first checked online to get a ballpark figure of the cost so I had an idea of what it should be. Thankfully, I found Global Improvement Solutions! George answered my first call, which in itself, I was happy about. Although busy at the time, he answered my questions and said he would get back to me shortly about our required short timeline. They were booked well ahead but he managed to get his team here in good time, realizing our situation. He was accommodating yet thorough. The job was done in no time; his team were personable and professional. The window lets in so much light, looks terrific and gives us peace of mind for the purpose it was intended for! Thanks to George and his team for a job well done! I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Matt and his workmate were terrific! They were right on time. Very personable and professional. He greeted me by name and went right to work once we accepted the quote, which was less than others. I would not hesitate to refer them to family and friends. It was discovered part way through the clean up that we went to all the same schools but many years apart! Small, small world and I was happy to have met them. When they left, besides there being no more junk, you couldn't tell they were there. The person that initially took my call for a request for a quote, was the one that made me decide which company I wanted to come to my house. I called others and they were not helpful or informed. She was, and people like that do not always get recognized for their skills as well. Thanks to all!

Assisted Review

An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.

It was quick to get an appointment. I appreciated that the service person called to say he was on his way and on-time. Polite and clean service person. Direct Energy called to remind us that it was a service we were paying for, that I was unaware of, so I arranged an appointment. It was an easy process which brings peace of mind.

I highly recommend David D. Snell Building Services Ltd located in Mississauga, Ontario. We purchased our eavestrough, soffit and fascia through them and are very satisfied with the product used and installation process. There was no mess left for us to clean up and it looked terrific. When we decided it was finally time to replace our garage door, it only made sense to call them. Our sales representative, Pieter, came out to our home to go over the brochures with us, ask about our requirements and take some measurements. He was very thorough and professional. We had problems with contractors in the past so it was even more appreciated that we had no worries with this company. The person that came out to install the door was on time and obviously well trained and experienced in his job. We love the new door, which is now a nice reflection of, and addition to, our home. Since the installation of the door, we had a bit of a problem, caused by our own misuse, and the service I received was commendable. We did some comparison shopping first to give us some idea of the cost of all these products and they were comparable to most quotes. Although a couple of quotes came in a little lower, I did not feel comfortable with the person I was speaking with and thought about our bad experiences in the past. I would not hesitate to call on them again if the need arises for any upgrading or replacing of aging products that we may require in the future. I trust them so would be confident in recommending them to family and friends.
