As the owner of a rental property, I got very concerned when one of my tenants complained about ants. I called Pesticon who scheduled a visit right away and came to do the treatment against ants. It was very helpful they could come in a timely manner. As this was a rental property, I opted for the home protection package as a proactive measure against any other unwelcome visitors. The ants were pretty stubborn and did not disappear right away so Pesticon came again until the matter got resolved. No additional costs for the visits as their work is guaranteed. I really appreciate they are conscious of checking for pets to ensure they're not harmed with the treatments. I will definitely call them again as a proactive measure and would recommend their services against those invaders.

In January 2015, while I was on vacation overseas, the furnace in my property broke down (lucky me!). I called Mike from Thermal Techs and he assessed the issue and advised it needed to be fixed immediately or he would have to turn the heat off. To do this, I was to transfer the full cost of the repairs via an email transfer prior to the work since I wasn't in the city, which I did immediately so the work can begin. I was (and still am) very grateful that the issue was fixed immediately and the house was heated again; especially considering I wasn't in the country and damages would have definitely happened. However, upon my return, I have been following up with Mike constantly to receive the invoice showing the work done. It is October now and I still haven't received it. I am not sure why the denial to the invoice with the details on the work done. This is something businesses do as standard practices but it has been months of following up with no luck. Prior to this I was going to give the company a 10/10 review but I am really questioning the practice after this. I have given it 3/5 because I was satisfied with the prompt response to the issue but I am not satisfied that no invoice was provided. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless they're physically in the house to receive the invoice and oversee the work.

I was having trouble with a clogged kitchen sink so I called a couple of other companies with great reviews in HomeStars. It seemed they were not interested in a small job so they would just not book me in right away and just keep me waiting, which was really frustrating. I called Public Plumbing and they sent someone right away. The technician who came was very professional; explained everything over the phone and in writing, and my sink was fixed. I was impressed by the level of customer service. I am recommending the company to my friends and will be calling them for future plumbing needs.

I actually waited a bit over a year to add this review because I wanted to make sure the job was done right. And of course it was! When I called the company I was pretty embarrassed by a mice infestation. I tried so many things before calling and I was seriously considering moving out. Waheed was very understanding; not judgmental at all. He came on time when agreed upon and almost immediately from the time I called. I think it was about the next day. He was very professional, gave me tips, provided with clear instructions and cover any small holes he found. I never had to move out and I am still very happy at my home rodent-free! The treatment was supposed to last 1 year and it's been 1.5 yrs already. I'm definitely calling them again before another unwelcome visits happen (I have it in my TODO list). I definitely feel confident with their work after it has lasted for such a long time. They do not offer a quick fix but rather long term. I appreciate that.

I got locked out of my bedroom on a Friday night. The locksmith got the job done so I was happy... but the experience (e.g. customer service) was not great and I regretted calling this company within minutes of the arrival. The person who came made it very obvious he was annoyed by the fact that there was no closer parking to where I was (as in my own parking spot). When I suggested a parking spot half a block from my house he replied annoyed that he had to carry stuff to my house (which I didn't know). When he started backing up his car and I walked towards it to greet him, he completely ignore my greeting and kept going. At this point I was so annoyed by the attitude that I went inside the house and figured I could be okay being locked out of my bedroom. I just assumed he left since he didn't say a word to me but just kept driving. I guess he found parking and came directly into the house without knocking, when I showed him upstairs he didn't take the shoes off or asked if it was okay to come in with boots. As the door knob needed to be drilled, there was a bit of a mess left there. I didn't find this very professional but will leave it up to others to decide if a locksmith should clean up after their work or not. To top things off, I was given a specific rate when I called and I specifically asked if there was a difference if the person comes that night or the next day. I got confirmation that there is no difference and the price was the same whether drilling was needed or not. When the bill came up to more than what was agreed I commented that they should make it clear over the phone as the information was not accurate. Again, he was annoyed and responded that it was not true and that I was given the correct price which also included an after hours service call. I was okay paying what I was billed because it was still fair market value. However, I did not appreciate the implication I was not truthful. I was not challenging the price but rather the lack of clarify for future customers. After specifying this, the locksmith changed his tune. He became more pleasant and it was okay at the end. To be fair, he did remind me that he had specified the different prices when he just arrived but I must admit I didn't understand him and I did not ask him to repeat it because I was already annoyed by his attitude. It would still not made it okay that the person over the phone provided me with the wrong information but at least the paying part would have been faster. Hopefully I will not be locked out anymore but if I am, I am not calling these guys. I value customer service as well as the actual job done and this company fell short on the service part.
