She answered all our questions, had great suggestions and recommended products that we are still very happy with. Art Central is a great place to go if you're looking for unique, locally-made artwork or jewellery. I recently purchased a mixed media painting from one the several independent galleries housed within Art Central, and was very pleased with the selection and styles available. There's a pretty big range of prices, but it's always nice to know that you're supporting local artists. Art Central also hosts monthly events and exhibitions, and has a great little coffee shop called DeVille on the top floor. A fun place to visit on a Saturday afternoon or browsing for artwork!

Memory Express is always busy, so it can be hard to get unrushed customer service in-store, but they definitely have the best prices in town. They honoured their price match guarantee for my camera purchase with no issues, and had a decent return period. I would buy from Memory Express again in the future!
I recently bought a large concert poster and wanted some way to hang it up on the wall that was both clean-looking and affordable. I decided to go to Michael's to have the poster mounted on board and shrinkwrapped/laminated in plastic. I couldn't be happier with the result - there are no bubbles or wrinkles, the edges are cut cleanly, it flattened out the rolled poster beautifully, and best of all the plastic is UV-proof... so the colours won't get bleached by the sun over time. The price was very reasonable as well. I would definitely go to Michael's again to mount other posters for hanging!
