A year after a new roof, my living room is a symphony of leaks and it's radio silence from Jiri, the owner and his supposed 10-year guarantee. I really liked Jiri at first. He seemed attentive, diligent and the work he did seemed of good quality. At the beginning, I would even have qualified him as responsive to calls and texts. We had our entire roof done. In fact, we're the green-roof log house on Jiri's website. The year after Jiri did the roof, there were problems with leaks during the spring thaw. I contacted Jiri and eventually he came by to check it out. He seemed convinced he knew what the problem was (see attached email). He convinved me that it might be leaks through our dormer windows, so I paid Jiri another 4000$ to seal the dormers (see attached document). Now, I am once again sitting in a living room popping with the sound of different leaks dropping into different pans. Have a look at the photos. I tried calling Jiri, I tried writing Jiri, my wife tried, I pretended I was a new client and used the form on his website. Nothing. It's frustrating when someone doesn't keep their promises. Covered Bridge Roofing is one of those people. At the end of the day, I believe that Jiri probably made a mistake, perhaps even an innocent one, and doesn't want to deal with the extra work of fixing it. Now I have serious water damage, needed to call an emergency clean up crew (see photos) to deal with the humidity and the potential mold. By writing this review, I simply want people to avoid all of the frustration I have gone through, after paying for a new roof, paying Jiri again for more work, paying 2000$ for an emergency crew and cleanup, and then having to pay 5000$ MORE to another roofing company to fix the roof because Jiri doesn't feel like answering his phone and honouring his guarantee. Watch out, you'd hate to pay for a new roof and end up like me, watching it rain in your living room. Jiri is that guy, the guy that doesn't call back and doesn't help once you're in trouble with his work.
