Assisted Review

An assisted review is collected by a contractor on behalf of the homeowner after their work is completed. The homeowner must confirm the text of the review and may make any changes she or he deems appropriate. The homeowner then assigns the contractor a review score out of 10. Assisted reviews receive the same scrutiny as other reviews and must follow our review guidelines.

In 2010, we interviewed five contractors for a major reno + two storey addition. All contractors were recommended to us – but Alan clearly stood out from the beginning. He provided a comprehensive quote, timelines and expectations – a core document throughout the 9 month process. We also interviewed many of Alan’s previous clients – and his references were exceptional. I would have no reservations in hiring Alan and Lisa again – dependable & trustworthy. We are ecstatic with our new home. Alan was on budget and we moved into our home on time – significant given the size and length of renovation. Alan and Lisa were great to work with. We had strong communication as Alan was always available to meet and proactively solve issues. Alan’s architectural background was a strong asset – as he improved the layout of the master bathroom and basement designed by our architect. Alan hired quality sub-trades with high level craftsmanship - vital to our successful renovation.
