I hired Chris owner of CGA Iron Works to complete the installation of 3 iron gates for the entrance to my back yard in Aug 2016. It is now Dec 2016 and he has my $1000.00 deposit and $1500.00 of material that I gave to him. This was supposed to be a 6 week job and it is now Dec and he won’t return my phone calls or text messages. He has my deposit and material and I am having trouble even getting a hold of him when I go to his shop since he is never there. At this point I have to go to small claims court to get my money back. For the past 4 months all he came up with was one excuse after another, car broke down, van broke down, out of town, etc. He would say ok I will be there next week. When the next week came and he didn’t show he said he was out of town. As I am getting my evidence ready for court I have found out that he has done this before. Going to court takes time but I won’t let him get away with this. He takes a deposit and then disappears. I have also talked to other local people that have had similar issues. He gets away with this because the cost of hiring a lawyer is more than the cost of the deposit and small claims court takes time. Chris takes advantage of people, he refuses to return my money and material. I hope he reads this. Chris (owner of CGA Iron Works) did not show up to 2 court dates and has refused to pay what the court has ordered him to pay me. This shows anyone who thinks of giving him any money and how he will treat you.

To Shipton's Heating and Cooling I am sending you this to inform you of the excellent work that two of your trades people did in my home. On wed november 21, 2012 Jake and John showed up to relocate two heating ducts and install the exhaust ducting for my new hood. Both were very professional in the way that they handled themselves and the work that they did was excellent. They took care in protecting my hardwood floors by putting down covers before walking on them and were always courteous and polite. The work that they did was efficient and done with care. I would gladly recommend them to my friends and neighbours. Both are excellent employees that represent Shipton's Heating and Cooling. Thank you. Satisfied Customer Rob
