Kaum was able to respond and come to my home to diagnose and fix a handful of electrical tasks within a few days of posting a request on Home Stars. He and his son fixed 3 outlets that had stopped working, a broken pot light, and replaced an in-floor heating controller in about an hour. Also carried out a broken microwave for me to the porch (that was the culprit for the shorts) and were lovely to hang out with during the whole process. Would hire again.

We had a laundry room in the basement that could not accommodate a large capacity washer and dryer, when we needed to upgrade when our washer died and eventually our dryer was on its last legs. Jose, as the GC, and Carlos, who was the cabinet specialist, did the following for us: cut our existing cabinets, moved the washer and dryer into a new location, moved the drains and water hooks ups, replaced the sink and cabinet, and also installed new custom shelving to make better use of the space. Jose was professional, prompt in his communications, on time, on budget, and maintained a clean working environment during and when they were done. During the quoting/first contact meeting we were able to able to work through all of the details that might complicate things during the build - which gave me the confidence that we wouldn't have any surprises and that we were on the same page. We are also very happy with the end product! Since he did not have any reviews yet on homestars, I asked for 3 references prior to hiring, and they all came out very positive! Would hire again.
