When we bought our first house, the home inspector had some concerns regarding a leak in the HVAC system in the basement. We found Burkee Climate Control, and they worked with us to have it checked out before our closing. When I made the initial call, I was pleasantly surprised to have someone actually answer the phone, rather than getting an answering machine. They asked some basic questions about the system and the problems that were found, and explained what their initial thoughts were. When I told them that we were closing on the house soon, they worked with us to schedule and appointment quickly. The arrived at the house when they said they would, which helped us out since we had to have our realtor arrange for them to have access to the house (since it wasn't ours yet). They looked at the system, and again said what they were initially thinking it might be. The technician also explained what he was going to do, and what he would look for. As he was going through the system, he didn't mind that I was watching over his shoulder. In fact, after he learned that I was going to be a first time homeowner, he took some extra time to explain how much of the system works. He had told us what he was looking for earlier, but he then explained how certain things he was looking for might affect the performance of the system. Luckily, there were no major problems found with anything, but he provided some suggestions for things to look out for. He also performed some basic maintenance on the system as a courtesy. Overall, the service they provided was timely, quick, and very informative. I found it nice that he didn't mind me watching what he was doing and asking questions about it.

My wife and I bought a new washer, dryer, and refrigerator from Lowe's. We have had previous experience with getting appliances delivered, and the other places are usually not nearly on time, or they make a mess when they bring the appliances into the house. Not so with Lowe's. They called the day before to give me a window of when they would be arriving, and they got there early in the 2 hour window. The two delivery men were very nice, even taking their shoes off when they had to come into the kitchen to place and hook up the fridge (the washer/dryer went down the basement steps, so there was no need to take their shoes off). Before they left, they went through the operation of all the appliances, and they also took all packing materials with them. Overall, a very timely and clean install for everything.

Had a problem with my HVAC system (the fan would only come on sometimes), so I called All-Phase to come and look at it. I initially called them on a Monday and arranged for an appointment the following day at 3pm. The next day I was waiting for them to arrive, but when they hadn't shown up by 4:15pm (and I didn't receive a call from them), I called the main office and left a message. After it was 5pm and I still hadn't heard anything, I called the main office again and left a second message. This time, my call was returned about 15 minutes later. Apparently the technician was supposed to have called me to let me know that he would be unable to make it on that day and that I would have to reschedule. I was a little upset, seeing as it was about 2.5 hrs since my appointment time. They did reschedule the appointment for the next day, however, and called when they were running a little late. The service was professional when they arrived, and they worked to fix the problem. About the only thing that upset me about them in general was the miscommunication about the original appointment, but I guess that is a little understandable.

Prior to purchasing our first house, we definitely wanted to have it inspected. Webmor came recommended from the real estate agent, and we are very glad that we used this company. Dave (from Webmor) arrived promptly on time (even a few minutes early), and explained how he would be going through the house. He also encouraged to follow him closely, and ask as many questions as we could think of about anything. We started on the outside of the house, then moved to the garage, then the first and second floors. The whole inspection took about 4-5 hrs, but Dave was very pleasant the entire time. Every step of the way, he explained what he was checking, why he was checking it, and what specifically he was looking for. Many times, he took more time to look at something because of questions that we had, and he was able to fully answer all of our questions. Sadly, although we loved the house, he found several things wrong with it that changed our minds on it, before we were able to buy the house and get stuck with it.

Prior to a home purchase, we used this company to perform an inspection for wood destroying insects. The process of the inspection was fairly easy, and they provided us with a professional report of their findings within 2 days of the inspection. There were some minor issues that they found, but they worked with us after the purchase of the house was complete to quickly remedy them. They were very helpful in explaining not only what they were doing, but also why they were doing it. They also gave us many tips of further things that we could do, as well as offering advice on how we could take care of some of the issues ourself (and save a little money in the process). Overall, very professional and wonderful to deal with.

Recently moved into a new house, and discovered a bad leak in the pipe going to the outdoor spigot. Called Gehringer, and they were able to set up an appointment for the next day, telling me they would be there between 12-3pm. Since I work about 45 minutes from home, I asked them if they would call when they were on the way over, so that I could leave work and be home in time. Just as promised, they called on their way and gave me plenty of time to get home. Once he arrived, I showed him the problem, and also asked about installing a separate shut-off valve. He said it would be no problem, and got to work. The entire job only took him about 25 minutes. He was friendly and talkative while he was working, and was very careful about walking on throw rugs that were down instead of on the carpet (it was a pretty rainy day). Overall, the service was exceptional, from making the appointment all the way through the completion of the work.
