Friday 20 Dec it snowed in Ottawa starting about 7 a.m. By 1 pm the City of Ottawa had plowed our street -Biscayne Cr in Nepean. Several phone calls to Appleseed - voice mail - left them my problem - no Appleseed plow . On the second day 21st I woke up to find my laneway still had not been plowed. Had to get out to finish Christmas shopping- I anm a senior and a veteran - neighbors pitched in and dug me out. At 446 pm Appleseed plow appeared -plow driver took one look and kept on going almost 27 to 28 hours after Ottawa plow had been by. Service not only unacceptable but means seniors are "blocked in" in this case for almost 2 days. There are 3 more Appleseed customers on Biscayne in same boat all seniors . My neighbor at 33 Biscayne is a senior -a veteran and has a heart condition. The next door 31 a widower and next 29 Biscayne a single senior citizen. Only voice answering at Appleseed - no return call from Appleseed - no explanation why Appleseed - no apology & we will do better next time from Appleseed. I have cancelled - I would not recommend to anyone this franchisee of Appleseed - -especially a senior - not if you are house bound and depend on your car!!
