I've heard great things about Kestner Electric, so I hired them to install an outlet in the garage. It needed to be on it's own breaker, because I would be plugging in a refrigerator and a freezer into the outlet. I called them to set up an appointment. They arrived the next day and it took less than two hours. They were clean, friendly and completed the task in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend this company for electrical work.

About one year ago, I hired Berg's Nursery to plant a 10 ft. maple tree and purchased a lilac bush. The cost was $200. I live about 1.5 miles from the nursery and they charged an additional $40 for delivery. They planted the tree, which is doing great. The lilac bush died within two months. An employee from the nursery came to my home to look at the bush. He said to wait until after the winter to see if the lilac bush would come back. It didn't. I called Berg's Nursery and talked to Randy. He said he'd call back and he never did. So, I went to the store and he wasn't there. I spoke to a female worker and she gave me a replacement bush, since it had a one year warranty. This spring, I wanted trees in my front yard along with a rock garden and flower bed. When I talked to Randy Berg, he was evasive and acted like he was too busy to deal with me. He was not helpful and would not design the rock garden. I went to Stiver's Nursery, where they were extremely friendly and helpful.

This is a family-owned business. Bob Embrickson works with his son and Bob's wife is the bookkeeper. They do not advertise, but they are extremely busy. Their services are worth the wait. Their prices are reasonable. They are clean and respectful, and I was pleasantly surprised when Bob removed his shoes as he entered my home. The Embrickson family is very nice, thorough, and they get the job done in a prompt manner. I hired Bob to install a Kohler handicap commode and a Swanstone sink, which can be sanded if ever chipped or scratched. In my previous home, I had another plumber install similar commodes and it was twice the cost of Bob's services. My first choice of plumbers in this town is Embrickson Plumbing.

This business has a very friendly staff that is ready to help you as soon as you step through the door. They have no-pressure sales and great prices. About a year ago, I looked for a washer and dryer at Sears and Home Depot. I did not like what they offered. Plus, they were expensive. I went to Sorenson's Appliances, which is located in the small town of Geneva. They had a great selection of washers and dryers. I bought the Maytag 100th Year Anniversary set for $1000. Delivery and set-up were free. Plus, they hauled away my old set at no charge. Since I was so pleased with their service, I bought a refrigerator from them, too!

I went to Stivers Nursery, a family-owned business, and was immediately impressed with Ron. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, and ready to answer all my questions. I gave him ideas and one week later he stopped by my house with the design paperwork. Since they are a small and busy business, it did take about 10 days before they planted the trees. It took another 10 days before they installed the rock garden with flower beds. I was informed about the time frame, so it was not a surprise that it took about three weeks from start to finish. I am very pleased with their work and the friendly staff.
