I had a gorgeous coffee table with a glass top. One day a friend dropped a heavy stone ashtray on it and chipped a big chunk out of the corner. Instead of trashing it, I asked Grand River Glass to replicate the piece of glass so I could save the table. It was tempered cut to size and the edges were polished/rounded. It was just what I needed. They were nice and polite, it did take a little longer than expected, but not obscenely so. I was happy with their work and still used the table.

When I had a hot tub delivered to go on my new deck the deck was too tall for the delivery men to get onto the deck. So, luckily Westmoreland Construction is right down the street from me and they have cranes. They were very helpful and the hot tub was up on my deck within minutes. They were very friendly and accommodating. I don't what I would have done without their services. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The ONLY reason I went with this company was the quality and strength of the windows themselves. The installation and workers were atrocious. When I was getting estimates I got them from a few companies. Hanson was the only one to insult and degrade their competition. They touted themselves as the best and everyone else was "crap" by their definition. Though they supposedly measured, only one of the windows they brought to install actually fit the frames. Their workmanship leaves everything to be desired, and they even just put my old trim back up, they did not install new trim as planned. I would NEVER use this company ever again.

I needed an additional electrical box and underground 440 line run and I hired Crampton. They did very good work, and were very reasonable with their pricing. I would highly recommend this company, they are good people.

This was the epitomy of nightmare of builders. I hired them to put an addition on my home and they messed up every part of it. It was meant to be a split level, they dug too far so now it's a regular two story addition. They ordered everything in correctly so it took a year longer than it was supposed to. They did not put the metal reinforcement strips into the cement, so I have no "stud" equivalents in my walls. Every single wall is crooked and bowed, I think two of the 7 window encasements are level. The cement floor for the first level is not even or level so they used squares of press board as shims. They just kept layer in pieces of ply wood to make up the 3-4 inch slope in the floor. They cut the VERY expensive composite floor joists several inches too short, so they don't sit in the joist hangers properly. And they charged 30,000 over the estimate. I don't think there's enough space to put everything they screwed up, but I'm sure you get the picture. This company is a JOKE. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS! I have spent thousands of dollars to undo and fix what they did just so my home will pass code and inspection.

High Country Carpentry from Fowlerville, MI does excellent work. They are very good quality, good value, friendly, and punctual. They were never late, exceeded budget estimates, and all of their work was very well done, it was never shoddy at all. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. I believe they do more than strictly carpentry work, hence the aluminum siding install, so you might try them out and see what else they do. I would (and have) hire them for any other projects I might need done. I've also recommended them to numerous friends that have used their services as well and are happy customers.
