Our main drain in the furnace room was backed up and we had several service calls for snaking the drain, but it only temporarily solved the problem. (Don't forget, they will be back, because nobody checked with camera the condition of the pipe after the snaking) Problem with pipes connected to the kitchen drain is grease! Snaking is just a vibration with rotation, grease is like butter - as more you rotate the mixer as more "puffy" it will be. That is why is so important to know what king of pipe is blocked, what king of plumbing fixtures are located on that pipe, maybe garbage carburetor? Maybe grease trap? Maybe dishwasher in a restaurant? Investigation takes time but save money for the client.

Don’t forget - plumber has to check his work after he is done, the same as everybody. Camera inspection is great tools to check the condition of the pipe to make sure pipe is out of grease and ready to service you.
