Huge caution to anyone using Tiles For Less. We wanted a seamless look for our bathroom, so we ordered white marble tile for the bathroom floor and shower. When we were ready to start laying the tile, we realized that there had been a mistake. Instead of having all white tile, as we ordered, we had been sent two completely different colours of tile - a white and a medium grey. When we noticed the mistake we called Tiles For Less and they told us that it was our own fault because we "knew" they were ordering two different shades. We tried to explain that the difference was far more pronounced than just a "shade" difference. We had two completely different colours of tile. We also tried to tell them that we weren't looking for our money back, we just wanted to exchange the grey tiles for the white ones we had originally ordered. They couldn't care less. We then contacted their Head Office and got the same treatment from their General Manager/Owner, Ken. He said he would talk to his store manager and get back to us. He didn't. We waited a few days and called again. Ken said, he didn't have time to talk to us, but would call back in two days. He didn't. We sent an email outlining the problem and called again. Ken told us he would look at the email and call us after the weekend. He didn't. We sent another email along with pictures so he could see for himself what we were talking about, and to prove that we weren't just being overly picky or unreasonable customers. No response. We waited a few more days and tried to call him again, however now their tactic has changed and they are just shunting us to voice mail and of course, no one calls us back. We thought maybe we were crazy and this idea of ordering two different shades was standard practice, so we spoke with one of their competitors to get their take on our situation. They were appalled and told us in no uncertain terms that this was NOT standard practice, a reputable store would never do this to a customer. One shade is always ordered and if a mistake like this were to happen, it would be corrected before the customer even knew about it. They also said they would never let a situation get to this point as keeping a customer happy is far more important than a few thousand dollars worth of tile. It's too bad Tiles For Less doesn't feel the same way. Save your money and stay away from this questionable retailer.
