I had some carpenter ant issues and Amir promptly came by to have a look. He also discovered carpenter bees and rodent issues (thankfully not too bad) He immediately put me at ease and worked out a plan that would be both timely and cost effective for my budget. When he came to do the work it was done thoroughly and he took the time to explain what he would be doing and when he would return for a follow up. Contact does not just come once but they include a follow up visit and suggest annual checks o keep on top of it. This is a brutal business and I could not imagine doing it but they love it, and it shows. Very professional and honest. Thanks

I just wanted to give a huge shout out to the amazing folks at North Shore. Laura came out for the initial estimate and scheduled me in very quickly as I had some urgent issues that was causing water damage in my 4 year old's room. The team was there within a couple days and were so much more than I expected. Funny, engaging professionals who knew exactly what they were doing. They even looked for other potential problems and advised on next steps. I cant thank them enough. Don't look anywhere else, there is no point, this is the company to use !!

Hi Ian, You had some serious water issues, including mould in your son's bedroom. You had a professional remove the mould and we installed new eaves and downpipe rerouting so that there should be no more problems. You can be sure of many years of trouble free rainwater management. I first looked at using Go Minis as they had good advertising and promised to beat any price. They were about $10 less per month than the more popular Pods and the pick up and drop of fee's are less as well. The site is easy to use and the people on the phone were great to talk to and explained everything clearly, including suggesting they would be at my home between 9-11am. So I took the day off and enlisted some help so I could load the pod to get ready for construction the following week. I then called around 10:30 and was told one of the 2 drivers they have called in sick so they were down to just one. She thought that maybe they could make it here after 12. I suggested if they experience a scheduling issue they should call their customers to give them a heads up. This was not really welcome advise and we said our goodbyes. At 2 PM I called again and was told he should be here within one hour. I called my friends and said its not going to work out and thanked them for offering to help. I ran a quick errand and rushed back to try and make it back in time. When I got back at 310 they had not yet been. I called AGAIN at 345 and was told he is on his was and stuck on the 401. I suggested again that they could have simply called me on the cell I provided so I could manage my day doing some errands as I had already booked a vacation day for this. The lady I spoke to would hear none of it saying they don't have time to call their clients and its out of their control. I get that life happens but by simply communicating more effectively with their clients would allow them to adjust their day and be more productive. I asked if they would compensate me somehow, maybe credit half a month or something just to recognize the fact that they put myself and friends who offered to help in a tough spot. She got her back up and when I pushed it a bit she hung upon me. Someone needs some customer service training. This whole incident could have been avoided if they simply called to say their are delays. That I understand. Not communicating and getting kissed off at your client for being upset about wasting the entire day I do NOT understand. When the driver arrived he was amazing. Tired as he had to do the work of two but very nice. Learn to communicate at HQ and I would have given this 5 stars.

I can’t say enough about Neil Laird and his team. They supplied and serviced my old oil furnace for a long time so of course they were the first I went to, for a quote. Ron gave me a fantastic deal and handled everything! My old furnace and tank removal, new gas line install form Enbridge and of course the new furnace install. The tank removal guys were fantastic, clean and had everything out in 1 hour! Then Ryan and Dave did the install..Great guys, very professional and did an amazing job. My new Lennox furnace is soo much quieter than the old furnace and has changed the climate of the house. Everything they promised was out-performed and done to perfection.. I will recommend and use Laird for years to come.
