I hired Phelps to get unlock my Honda Civic after I managed to lock myself out. They used the old "wire through the window" trick to pull up the lock. It only took Mike, the locksmith, 5 minutes but I wasn't happy having to foot the $110 bill. I'll be going elsewhere next time I'm in the situation.

I & J is my new go to source for cleaning on larger houses. I've used other contractors before, but I&J is certainly the most thorough. They may take a little longer than others, but they do a great job and clean up all the mess off the ground around the project as well. Highly recommended.

I used browns as an alternative to Home Depot for some parts I needed when constructing a new garage. They're a bit pricier than the Depot, but they have much better help and are willing to negotiate when customers buy higher volume items like screws and nails. Talk to John, the manager, before making a big purchase and he'll offer expert guidance.

I used Cravens as a source for all the plants, topsoil, and surroundings for a new garden. They had a good selection of wooden garden enclosures including some great old rail road ties that were only $5 a pop. I picked up a great assortment of perennials and bulbs as well as edible plants. The only problem with cravens is that its hard to find help to carry supplies and even cash out. Plus, the interior is pretty dusty and dirty unlike chain retailers.

I used their slate and gravel to build a lovely walkway from my newly finished driveway up to the front of my house. They were great. THe prices are reasonable and the help is more than adequate. Dave, one of the assistant managers is always willing to do whatever he can to make your experience more enjoyable. Highly recommended.
