At first, finding a good roofing contractor to replace our shingle roof seemed to be a daunting task. I went on Homestars website, just to find that so many roofing companies are there even if you only look at those with high ratings. I decided to differentiate between them by reading the customer reviews, from which you could see how the customers were treated. After reading dozens of reviews I picked several companies and sent my request for estimates at the same time. Among them I had noticed that Coverall Roofing had got many reviews praising their work without reservation. The first response I received was from George in Coverall Roofing, who called me at the first proper timing. On the day of his visit he sent me a text message before his arrival for his possible delay, while it turned out that he arrived almost right on time. George inspected the roof from the top and made the measurements quickly. He told me that I may not get the preferred shingle color due to the manufacturer's Covid response, and thus we would need to agree on a back-up color, but he said he would try his best to locate the color I wanted from his supplier. The other issue was when it could be done. As the existing shingles had become pretty bad, I hoped it could be done asap. Unlike some contractors who would say a short waiting time but might extend it on excuses such as weather, George answered this concern differently. He told me the most likely waiting time, and added a few contingency days to it to give me a firm completion timeframe. Having seen how he managed his schedule, I believed that this timeframe was reliable. After comparing the quotes, I signed George's offer, not because of the lowest price or highest rating, but mainly because of the best customer satisfaction (from the reviews and from my own experience). Right from the beginning of our communication, George had always been prompt, polite and considerate, so he had quickly built my trust in him. One week after the contract was signed, George called me up, saying that they could schedule the job in the following week (much earlier than anticipated), which was another happy surprise (a few days ago he already told me he had found the shingles with the color I wanted)! On the job date, I could see that their team is very experienced, very hard-working, and very friendly. I watched them working and was convinced that our roof was in good hands. Cleaning up after the job was thorough and they did the best they could. Now we have a beautiful new roof installed with complete peace of mind (CertainTeed shingles, backed up by Coverall Roofing's 10 year labour/workmanship warranty).
