My husband and I removed the old carpet so we could fix some damage to the subfloor. A-1 came out per our schedule and removed the old carpet and then installed our new carpet. The installer was very professional and didn't really bother me at all (I was home on maternity leave). The seams look great and he did a wonderful job with our less-than-wonderful subfloors.

I returned home from a Christmas party to find my house freezing and once my husband did some investigating, we found that the HVAC unit had went out - on Christmas Eve!!! I was devistated. We called various companies on Christmas Day and were just crushed at the costs we were estimated (over $3,000). I spent that entire Christmas day crying my eyes out. The following day, I remembered that my employer had used G&S for some of our building renovations in the past; I called them and explained my situation - they had a technician out to my house that very day. It turned out that the entire unit was not out, just the motor. He replaced the motor and ensured that everything was working properly and then he left me a bill to send in payment! I didn't even have to fork over the cash right then and there - it was amazing. I've since had them back one other time for another problem with the same unit and I received the same prompt and courteous service each time. A great company!!!
