We hired Ascot to do a bathroom renovation and to brick in a window in our kitchen as part of the build out of a pantry. Walter (project manager) was very responsive and the trades that were used were all very courteous and did great work. We were very satisfied with how the work turned out and would use Ascot again for future reno needs.

We hired Manuel and MLL Electric to do the wiring for lights, outlets and shower fan as part of a recent bathroom renovation (he also supplied the light switches and shower fan). We have worked with Manuel multiple times before and he is a great electrician. He is always willing to start early, works efficiently, is very considerate of our house and is an overall nice person. We have recommended Manuel and MLL to several people already and will continue to use him for future electrical needs.

The team is so professional, quick, tidy (despite the in-progress picture) and does great work at a very reasonable price. We liked working with them so much, this is actually our second job, and I have recommended them to family. HIGHLY recommend working with this team!

We hired TNC to finish our basement (including drywall, flooring, bathroom) after our previous contractor went out of business leaving us with an incomplete project. Christine and Rose were a pleasure to deal with and were a breath of fresh air after our experience with our previous contractor. The quality of the work was very good and they were communicative (texts or calls multiple times a week to outline milestones and next steps), were conscientious about dust management (we have two young children), took pride in their work, and were very trustworthy. We were happy with how our basement ended up and we will be using TNC again for future reno needs.

This was my third time using Java electric - this time it was to move the wires that run through my basement joists in order to get the joists sistered. The job was done by Manuel and Michel and they were a pleasure to work with. They were very practical and worked quickly, and their quote was fair. I will continue to use Java for all of my electrical work needs going forward. Highly recommended.

We recently hired Nusite to underpin and waterproof our basement and were extremely happy with the work done. The job started with an initial consultation with David Steinberg, who visited our house at the outset of the job to get a sense of the scale and complexity of the underpin. David was friendly, generous with his time and very knowledgable and we had a detailed quote from him within a matter of days. After getting our permits (and working with Nusite's preferred engineer, Wesley Peter, who was also a pleasure to deal with) we were set to begin. We were worried about construction dust in our house so David specifically advised that we should wait for his best crew - a father and son team run by two gentlemen named Jakub and Marc, as they were his cleanest and best workers. I'm glad we waited for them, as Jakub and Marc (and the rest of their crew) were the best contractors I have ever worked with. They were extremely considerate of our space and meticulously clean. The basement workspace was always immaculate and they regularly swiffered and vacuumed our first floor to minimize the dust. The work itself was great and done quickly with the job taking ~ 8 weeks all in. Communication was also very good - Jakub checked in with me on pretty much a daily basis to keep me informed about the job, and was always available to answer questions at any time. All in all it was a great experience, and I would happily recommend Nusite to anyone looking for any type of structural or waterproofing work in the basement. EDIT: we have since used Nusite for some additional work - they dug and installed a window well for us also did some structural framing (the owner Geoff also builds custom homes). Once again the work was top notch and they were super responsive. The other trades on my job were very complimentary of their framing work too.

We have been hiring Rick from Metro Gas for the past few years to do our furnace cleaning and I would highly recommend him. He is very reasonably priced, genuinely cares about doing good work, and is an all around nice guy. The company does all kinds of other things to from furnace sales and installations to gas line work. Recommend.

Had the Duct Cleaning Specialists to clean out my HVAC and dryer vents last week. They were extremely professional, showed up on time, worked quickly and had a very transparent costing process. The two guys that did the work were also very friendly and answered all my questions about my HVAC system upkeep etc. Highly recommend.

I hired Dominic from Reco Concrete to redo a shared walkway between my house and the house of a non-adjoining neighbour as the concrete was old and cracked and the poor grading was leading to drainage problems. I would definitely recommend Reco concrete. The price was competitive, the workmanship was good, and Dominic and his team did everything on time, on budget (noting we got quotes from three contracts) etc. and they were also just genuinely nice people.

When we recently lost power in our upstairs bathroom, we called Yunior Valiente over at Java Electric to come and have a look at things. I have to say that I was impressed right from the initial phone call. Yunior was friendly, very knowledgable, and fixed the problem (a bad wiring connection) quickly and efficiently. While he was at it, Yunior also helped fix a few other minor things that weren't to code - it was very apparent that he takes a lot of pride in his work. All in all, the rates at Java were very competitive and I would recommend this electrical company (and Yunior) to anyone.
