If you scroll down through the reviews, you'll find find mine about 2 years ago where City 1 replaced the roof of the home I had just purchased. I recently had to contact them again and wanted to write about it. I called them for help after noticing one of my shingles had come loose. They sounded very concerned and came over very quickly to make the repair. Turned out I had a critter damaging my shingles. So they did a temporary repair and provided me with some solutions to help. Now, the roof is permanently repaired. They took such great care and I'm thrilled to bits on how they helped and handled my problem. I have no doubt that if the shingle had been just loose, they would have honoured their promised warranty. As a result, I very highly recommend City 1. I can't imagine hiring anyone else.

Had my rented unit with a repeat problem of both toilets not flushing. The service right from the telephone call through to the after-service follow up call has been very good. The plumber was on time, clean, helpful, courteous, took off his shoes, etc. I could not have asked for anything more from a customer service stand point. My one complaint would be the pricing. $255 for 2 flapper valves and one handle seems a bit high to me. I was expecting in the $150 range, maybe $200. Since I know the valves at Canadian Tire to be around $20, the bill shocked me. I would be happy to use them again, but would certainly shop around for better pricing before committing.

I moved from Hamilton to Oakville and had Taylor pack and move the whole house. The packers took most of the day and did a wonderful job. When we unpacked, there was NOTHING damaged. I expect to have some things brokend, cracked, damaged. But nothing at all was damaged. The moving crew of 3 was excellent. They did everything exactly on time and the bill was exactly what we were quoted. Taylor, today, picked up the remaining boxes. Again, on time. I couldn't possibly be happier with a moving company. I spoke with Taylor over the phone twice for this move, and both times the ladies on the phone were helpful and very friendly. There is nothing more they could have done. They did exactly what I paid for. I would hire them again in a second.

I recently purchased a house and hire Pioneer to carry out my pool inspection. Having never owned a pool or hot tub before, I wanted a professional to come in and give me an idea of where I stand with it. He physically inspected the on-ground structure. Pressurized the lines. And took a look at the lining and other accessories. As soon as I move in a couple of weeks later, the line from the skimmer to the pump is sucking air because the line under the skimmer was loose. I also discover the hot tub was not functioning correctly as it was only going up to 94 degrees. I found a burnt connector going to the heater. I also found that none of the pumps, nor the heater were grounded inside the mechanical compartment. Plus, the flow switch had been bypassed because it had failed. Although he was very pleasant to speak with and seemed quite knowledgeable about pools, I am not satisfied that a thorough inspection of my pool and hot tub were carried out. In my opinion, the high cost of the inspection should have ensured sufficient time spent on site to carry out a very good inspection. I would not recommend Pioneer for their pool and hot tub inspections.

I hired Danny and his team to replace the shingles on a house I had recently purchased. When he arrived (on time) to give me the quote, he was well dressed and very professional. The presentation he gave was quite involved. It included samples of all the tiles he offers, certificates of training, warrantee information and a wealth of knowledge from someone obviously knowledgable about his industry. On the day of the work, his team of 7 arrive at the house on time. They put down protective tarps all around the house to catch the nails. They even threw a tarp over my pool to make sure any nails were stopped before they ripped lining. The new shingles were installed. New venting installed and old venting removed. 2 skylights replaced, and 2 more removed and re-installed. My gutter cleaned. Everything cleaned up wonderfully (although I did find 1 nail last week under a bush). All that it one day. 7am to 7pm. After inspecting the roof the next day, I found one very small area around the chimney missing a spot of caulking. Danny was up on the roof within an hour to repair it. I waited quite awhile to write this review, because you can't tell how good a job was done on a roof right away. It has now been 2 months. Since then, there has been countless days of rain and a hurricane that went through here. I was just up on the roof and found everything in tact. Like 100kph winds never touched the house. Very impressive. Through all this rain in October, not one leak. Also impressive. I have to say, I am overall very happy with City 1 and their team. I would like to review this in 10 years time to see for sure how things have gone. But 2 months will have to do. I would hire them again for sure.
