Ed was the HVAC specialist our contractor worked with for our basement overhaul, which included new home systems. Ed sourced and installed a new furnace and tankless water heater, did all of the venting, and then came back post-reno to do the A/C reconnect. He is extremely professional, very responsive and knowledgeable. All comms and transactions were easy and smooth. We're very happy with the work that was done and wouldn't hesitate to call him again or to recommend him.

We sought specific design input from Andrea on a reno we were doing (redoing the basement and the front of the house). She had great ideas and really helped us focus our decision-making without being pushy. I'm looking forward to working with Andrea when we get started on our kitchen!

A number of years ago we worked with Shelby and Adrian and their team on our backyard. This year, they entirely redid the front yard: regrading, concrete work, paving, sod and beds. The result is just beautiful (and practical! lots of work done to ensure good water run-off). As a team they combine significant expertise and a great eye with professionalism and reassurance. And the crew they work with is just fantastic. Would absolutely recommend...half my block wants to work with them now, just from seeing what they do and how they do it.

We worked with Oborne on a modest addition almost five years ago. The locking mechanism recently went on a sliding door that had been part of the reno. We reached out to John to see how to deal with it and he was in touch immediately and provided us with all of the help and information we needed. John proves that it's not just the reno itself that counts, it's also what happens after the reno, and we were not disappointed...thanks!

Within 24 hours, I'd emailed AC Electrical, had a time booked for service, and has service completed. Very fast and responsive, and the service was knowledgeable. We would call AC Electrical again, for sure.

Adrian and Shelby redid our backyard (new paving, custom pergola, staggered planters, cutting back/cleaning up). They had great design ideas, which they pulled together beautifully. We are really happy with the quality of the work and with the finished look. We found Shelby and Adrian easy to work with - they asked lots of good questions and were patient with ours - and their crew very personable and professional. We're already contacting them about further work...we need a lovely front to match the lovely back! Really highly recommended.

We had a small mudroom and deck added to the back of the house. The finished addition looks fantastic. We found Oborne professional: everything properly documented and detailed. There were a few snafus along the way, but they were dealt with satisfactorily. Communication was good, as was follow up. Jeff (PM) was unflappable, and was great for us newbies to work with.

Our experience with Memar was unfortunately not so positive. This was our first time working with an architect; we had some contact with Sean, but our main contact was a different person, who did the bulk of the drafting as far as we could tell. In the end, we got plans and a permit for a modest home addition at a reasonable price. On the plus side, plans were drawn up quickly, and when the City objected to some points, Sean dealt with City staff directly in a timely way at no additional cost to us. On the debit side, we were hoping for more design ideas from the architect with whom we worked directly, and some details were left to the builder to sort out, or for us to communicate to the builder. Also, following the development of a first draft of the plans based on a survey drawing of the property, there was initial resistance to making an on-site visit before completing the plans and submitting them to the City (which was quickly overcome, but still). Ultimately, it turned out that the plans contained errors that had to be addressed at an additional cost to us (e.g., measurements for stair height were, according to our builder, not to code and an extra stair had to be included). As well, we received conflicting information from Memar during the process (e.g., whether or not measurements of the home interior would have to be submitted to the City, which they ultimately did). The other reviews here are very positive and our experience appears to be an exception, but on the basis of it I would not work with Memar again.

Working with this company was easy from start to finish. Easy to book, great communication (love the emails with work orders, day-before confirmation and follow up). Did a great job, and showed us what was happening every step of the way. Would use them again.

This was my second time working with Mike. His communication/coordination is excellent. He explains everything. He clearly knows what he is doing and doesn't rush the job. I'd continue working with Easy Flip.

Very professional, punctual service, and communicative office staff too. Michael installed the garage door opener. We have unusually high ceilings, but it was no problem. He explained everything well. Just great to work with.

We'd had a poor exterior paint job done on our porch 3 years ago; within the year, it was peeling and flaking, because it had not been properly sanded/primed/painted. Bob Steele, who owns Guild and does all the work, took all the necessary steps to get the porch painted properly and even went beyond to fix up some of the porch area. His communication was excellent; we always knew what would be happening when, and he walked us through the whole process. And he clearly knows paint/painting, talking us through the chemistry involved. We've been getting compliments ever since he finished last Thursday; very well worth it and highly recommended!
