I inherited the water heater rental as part of my new house. When I first inquired about the rental exit fees, I was quoted one cost. When I called back two weeks later, I was quoted a substantially higher cost. I finally decided to eat whatever cost i would incur just to get out of the contract with Reliance. On the phone with them, I was quoted a different value again! There's no consistency. I got the hot water tank removed, and it was returned to reliance. I was then charged a bogus $40 'service visit' fee on my final bill. I called and inquired, and the customer representative said that this was charged in error and I would be credited in the next bill. To no one's surprise, this credit has never arrived. This customer service experience has been so overwhelmingly bad that i feel like i should eat the $40 just so i dont have to be on the phone with them ever again. Please read the reviews online carefully before considering this company.
