My kitchen pot lights started flickering all of a sudden and initially I got a handyman to fix it but after spending 2.5 hours trying he couldnt fix it. He just left leaving me with incorrect wiring to the dimmer switches. At this point I knew I needed an electrician and found Terry on Homestars. Terry figured out and fixed the issue in no time. He knew what he was doing and the job was done quickly and efficiently. He is so knowledgeable and courteous. After he was done I showed him a pot light that was loose and didnt stay in place and asked him if he can fix it. He changed it with a much nicer and more efficient product. Now Im thinking about changing all 15 pot lights. Overall couldnt be happier with his services. Also his prices are very reasonable for the quality of work you will get. Definitely recommend starlight electric and Terry for all your electric projects. Thank you Terry for the awesome experience.

Elias was supposed to do a minor bathroom Reno. He was supposed to remove the wall paper, fix the drywall, paint, install a new vanity & tiles on the wall, should've been simple for even a mediocre contractor. However the whole project was a complete disaster & I had to hire a professional contractor who take everything down and started all over again which was a complete waste of money and time. Messy paint, uneven wall, very poor tile cutting skills resulted in uneven messy looking edges. The thing that really shocked me is that he did not even grout the tiles as agreed, he tried to convince me that it was a natural look without the grout (but what about the mold). Project took 3 days & he was asking to be paid at the end of everyday for the work done which I found unusual, I guess he knew that the finished product will be substandard & tried to get the most money he could get. I still paid him his full contract but I couldn't live with it, I initially was so excited about the project, but once it was done I really hated it. I had to call him a few days later to fix the mess he did up to my standard or refund a part of the contract so I can hire a professional to do the work that he was paid to do, which I ended up doing, but had to take down all the work he had done wasting the money I paid for him and the material as well as the hassle and the mess he left the house in when he was done. Save yourself the trouble and stay away unless you want your project to look like it was done by an eleven years old as some other review suggested.

I had problems with my dishwasher as it wasn't draining properly, I called J&J, Mike & George showed up within half an hour which was great however I was given a mediocre service, nothing special, very poor communication, it felt like I was pulling out the information & trying hard to get them explaining the problem, finally I was able to understand the problem, then again it felt like I was trying hard to pull out the information as to how we can get the problem fixed they didn't say much other than my dishwasher was an old model & most probably they won't find the part that is needed to get it fixed. Long story short my impeller was broken & Mike told me in order to fix it, they will need to change the whole motor but because my dishwasher was an old model most probably they will not find the parts as the company stopped manufacturing them (whirlpool), I was charged the diagnosis fees $70 which was fine however Mike told me if he couldn't find the part he won't be calling me to let me know. Poor poor communication, mediocre service at best, they didn't properly clean after they finished, not informative at all, not welcoming or friendly to talk to, first & last time & guess what I looked the part myself online & found it's available to be purchased by itself without having to buy the whole motor as they said.

I would definetly recommend "It's The Right Move" to anyone who is looking for a worry free moving experience, Philip the company owner was great, he was at my place 20 minutes after I called in to inquire about their services to look at the furniture that needed to be moved & I was quoted a very reasonable price, since I was very busy lately, I kind of waited for the last minute to hire a moving company, but Philip was very understanding & he even had to miss a family event on my moving day to accomodate my request. He showed up with his crew on time on the moving day, everything was moved quickly & efficiently to the new place. Unlike my experience with other moving companies in Canada & overseas, mine with "It's The Right Move" was a great one, I would definitely use their services again in all my future moves, very polite & friendly crew, over all great service & great value.
