Francis was quick to respond to my Homestars request. He gave me a quote over the phone and scheduled the work that week. We were getting lots of dust entering our building through holes in a common wall of a property under renovation next door. This was impacting our furnace. A&F completed the job in a couple of hours at the quoted price and I am happy to say that the furnace is now working efficiently and the the gaps have been closed up. Francis is very easy to deal with and I would use their service again when required.

After doing an excellent job waterproofing our house and putting in weeping tile last fall, we had to wait until summer to replace the walkway between our house and our neighbour. Mike and his crew came in and completed the work in a timely manner. He does not use email but will return calls, turns up when expected and does good work.

Master Drain completed work drain connection and replacement work for me in order to prepare for work to be completed by City contractors. Unfortunately, after the City completed their portion, my basement was flooded. While responsibility was being determined, Master drain came out immediately and assisted with clean up and equipment. They responded quickly to calls and were helpful during a difficult time.

We were required to change lead water service and galvanized pipes to copper as a result of the mandatory water meter program. Vitaly was referred to us by our plumber. He provided a quote over the phone after our plumber Steve Punyi described the problem to him. We arranged for his workers to come in 2 days later. Upon looking at the job, they told us that we did not have to change the pipes as they were copper. I had to call Vitaly and he agreed that he was aware that the pipes were galvanized and needed to be changed and informed his crew to do so. The job was completed that day as promised and we met Vitaly the following day to pay him. The cost for the job was the average listed for this type of work in the homestars reviews I had seen. I would just make sure that the crew understands the work to be completed as I am not sure if the miscommunication was due to level of English. Although the pipes were wrapped, the crew should have been able to determine that they were in fact galvanized, not copper.

Michael was very professional in his dealings with us. He returned calls promptly, provided a quote, explained the work to be completed and arranged for us to meet his crew on another site. The workers assigned to our job were happy to give us updates, kept the area clear and worked around the needs of our tenants. We were very happy with the job and our basement is now dry even during the heaviest rains. They know what they are doing and fixed our problem.
