5 kW solar panel system installed on the roof of my house. None of the workers who showed up were skilled, with the sole exception of a carpenter who was needed for a day. Communication from Grasshopper was limited to canned messages which failed to address the twists and turns our little project took effectively. It's as if no one over 25 was ever involved and empowered to do a thorough job. However, more than eight months after signing a contract, Grasshopper did complete all the important parts of the job, allowing us to achieve our main objective, social responsibility for power in ways that were within our means. I would never hire them for a commercial project. If you hire them for your home, know that they will get it done. Only, however, after much more effort than you would normally expect to put in, over a longer period of time than a focused, experienced, smaller contractor would take.

Hi John,

Thank you for your feedback and bringing this to our attention. It is our goal to make it a positive experience for all our clients however, there are several steps that need to be taken in order to complete a project upon signing a contract. This involves applying for microFIT, completing an onsite assessment, designing your system, getting approvals and permits from engineers and submitting paperwork to your local distribution company. Approvals from the IESO alone can take up to 8 weeks. Once Grasshopper receives an approval we have six months to complete your project. It is our intention and in everyone’s best interest, to complete your project quickly and safely; however due to unexpected constraints there can be delays. All our technicians are trained and licensed for the responsibilities they are assigned and if requested documentation can be provided.

Please contact our Client Care team at 1-866-310-1575 - Ext. 100 should you have any questions or require further clarity. Thank you.

Finding a kitchen cabinet maker that did custom work for a reasonable price with good quality was a very time consuming process. Stop your search now and settle a deal with Skip. He took our rough plan, made interesting suggestions for things we could do (and we thought we had thought of everything!), and built us a beautiful kitchen. He was helpful and meticulous in the details that scared us ahead of time that you can never know for sure how well they will come out. In the end, I cannot imagine anyone else having done a better job, and he was nowhere near either the high prices or the low prices, he was exactly right on. If you care about the end result and don't want to go bankrupt, hire Skip!

Home NRG Savers professionally and quickly met our desire to have the benefit of a foam insulated wall in our kitchen. Having dealt with multiple contractors who let us down and were wishy washy in dealing with us, it has been a delight to interact with pros who simply did exactly what they said they would do. There were some access difficulties for their vehicle to be near our space; they did not complain, they simply made the best of it. Mom, call these guys the next time you do a reno or want to reinsulate your attic!
