I started using New Canadian Plumbing ~10 years ago after having moved from outside of the GTA. They happened to be in the neighborhood and had an emergency number so, wanting to form a relationship with a good company, I gave them a call. I have not had to 'shop around' since then. They have done ALL kinds of jobs for me: frozen pipe emergencies and subsequent scheduled work for insulating the pipes to minimize this in future, toilet clog, repair/ update sump pump, and most recently laundry connections replacement... Every time they respond quickly (often there within an HOUR and sometimes even finished by then!), cater to my schedule, and keep me informed every step of the way re: price, time to complete the job, and what they are doing and why. They are always patient with my questions! Highest recommendation!

These are the only people I call. They are so clean at the site you won’t know they’ve been unless you look up at the tree they did! Very patient explaining what needs doing and why, ready to explain at my level. Thanks again!

I had a long list of electrical jobs around the house (rental property/ residence) and “put it out there” on the home stars website. Within 2 days I had a site visit and quote in my inbox that was 30% less than the next bid because Eugene at Evolve said they could do it all in one day, instead of coming out twice. The job included changing 3 fixtures, installing 4 ceiling fans (including an unusual model for tight spaces in a location without a junction box) and replacing a broken motion sensor light and pot light. Dermaine and Eugene showed up early enough to unpack all their tools/ supplies before the actual appointment and true to the prediction, they were done before 5pm. The quote did not change despite some challenges due to DIY efforts I inherited with the house, and they even removed non- functional smoke detectors “since (they’re) already here”. I got great advice, great work, additional suggestions from knowledgeable, polite, and friendly guys, all for a price that was surprisingly good. I will be calling them again: they are now my “go to guys” for electrical work.

Despite how busy they were after the August 2018 flood in Toronto, Richard came out within 36 hours to check the AC and furnace as I was afraid they had been damaged due to the flood (furnace was in same area as the water heater which had stopped working). He was quick, friendly, cheerful (despite being run off his feet after the flood) and courteous and even remembered us from a previous visit. Maybe that's not surprising as we've been using Coretemp for years. Making the appointment was fast, easy, and you get a confirmation/ reminder. He explains everything too. Thanks again guys!

The technician arrived early after calling ahead - this was extremely convenient and a relief as I had many tasks ahead of me and was exhausted after dealing with the fallout after my basement flooded. I was also concerned about the safety and comfort of my tenants as well as the rest of us upstairs. (The water heater had stopped working and I was afraid to turn on the AC before getting it checked out... and concerned for the furnace too) The technician was quick, courteous, and professional, and gave me advice that I did not know even after 20+ years of home ownership. I pay a monthly fee for a service program so the visit was free. It was only ~36 hours between my call and the technician's arrival despite how busy they must have been after the flooding (this was after the August 2018 flooding in Toronto).

We've been using Capps for 6 years since we bought a rental property and have been using them ever since. They are always on time (or early!), flexible - and very understanding- when I've had to reschedule due to work issues, thorough and professional on the job. They are careful with the furniture and other personal belongings and glad to give advice about HVAC care and maintenance that I can do myself. They are also very friendly and obviously love their work. I've referred them to anyone who would listen (why wait for them to ask?) and when we found out that they have contracts in the Peterborough area too... we now call them for our home as well.
