Summary: straightforward, friendly, respectful, accommodating, and the installation was good. You can't go wrong. My 20-year-old Eureka died, so I went to homestars and found Etobicoke Service Centre. I called and spoke to George who turned out to be the installer. He listened, made a recommendation and offered appointments that fit my schedule. - arrived exactly on time - took his shoes off before coming in - cleaned up the walls that were dusty from the old machine - installed the unit carefully and thoughtfully - showed me what I needed to know about the unit and its attachments These are lovely people to work with and I'm happy to do business with them. They are straightforward and they care about your experience.

I wanted to wait for a year before reviewing, just so I could be confident in what I am saying. Job: replace shingles, and fix the flat roof over the front porch. I needed my 20 year old shingles replaced and left if later in the season than I should have. I contacted Eclipse (and 2 other companies) in October of 2017. Eclipse's estimate was not the lowest, but it was also nowhere near the highest. Out of the 3 companies, Eduart was the only one to actually go on the roof AND into the attic before providing an estimate. I was concerned that I could not get the job done before winter. Eduart assured me that it would be no problem and that they would get to it in a few weeks. Just a few days after that, another customer rescheduled and they slotted me in. The Job was done on time, the roof looked good, and the property was clean when they were finished. Shortly after the job was done, there was a heavy rain and I noticed pooling on the flat roof above the porch. I informed Eclipse, and they improved the slope and drainage at no extra cost. The real test came towards the spring in one of those two crazy windstorms that Toronto had. I got home from work after one of those and my neighbour's shingles were all over my yard, but my new roof was perfect. But this is the best part... during one of those windstorms, the wind was so strong that it lifted the skylight loose . This had nothing to do with Eclipse's previous work on the roof, but when Eclipse was at our neighbour's house patching their roof from the windstorm damage, they took a look at the skylight for us. They found that it had been originally installed (20 years ago) with nails instead of screws, so they replaced the nails and screwed it down at no charge. tl;dr - Job done as promised, easy to work with, and they stand behind their work.

A section of the fascia blew had blown off in a storm. Mr Roof Repair replaced the section and repainted it to match the colour of the adjacent sections. It looks great. Aside from the actual work, all communication around the job was timely and accurate. They showed up exactly when they said they would, and followed through on all the details of the job.

Richard from CoreTemp replaced an ailing furnace with a new high efficiency Ruud. Richard was straightforward, friendly and professional. - He (or his office) answered the phone and returned all calls and emails in a timely manner - He scheduled appointments efficiently - He was prompt, never late, and never cancelled - The job was neat, the furnace room was left clean - He had modern tools, like a snaking camera to view the inside of the old furnace - He came with a co-op student, which I generally consider to be a good sign. The house is warm, the furnace is quiet, and I'm completely satisfied with the job. There's a reason that all of CoreTemp's reviews are 10s. UPDATE #1: CoreTemp thoughtfully emailed a pdf version of everything I needed to successfully apply for and receive the "SaveOnEnergy" rebate, including instructions to get me through the process. UPDATE #2: When spring came, the air conditioner would not go on. It turns out that when they hooked everything up after replacing the furnace, one of the wires was in the wrong spot. I called CoreTemp. They had a guy at my house in less than 24 hours, and had the problem fixed in 5 minutes at no charge. Every interaction with CoreTemp is great. I highly recommend them.

This was my second excellent experience with Tippet Richardson in 5 years. They answer the phone, they return calls, and they’re prompt and organized. They came by the house to provide a pre-move estimate so there were no surprises; they dropped off boxes, they came to pack the dishes before the move, they did the move, and they sent someone to unpack the dishes after the move. All of that went perfectly. The moving crew - John, Scott and Lawrence - was friendly, engaging, courteous, and extremely professional. They disassembled and reassembled half a dozen pieces of furniture including the kids' beds, a computer desk, a futon, and a dining room set. They moved everything with care and competence. In my opinion, this was not just 3 guys and a truck - it was 3 professional movers who provided outstanding customer service. Well done and thanks.
