After I had completed all of the renovations to the house that I had recently purchased, there was one thing that I still needed to do. The chainlink fence that surrounded the back/side yard was rusty and pathetic looking. I had just spent a small fortune making the house look fresh and new, so I wasn't about to let that eyesore keep standing next to it. Midland Fence is the number one fencing contractor in this area, and I didn't even consider calling anyone else. Their reputation is much too good. They came out and gave me a great estimate on complete replacement of the galvanized steel chainlink fence and attached gate. They also assured me that there would be minimal wear and tear on the yard, which was a big concern of mine. It turned out that my worries were unfounded. They tore out the old fence and replaced it with a beautiful, shiny silver one. Afterwards, they had a guy come over and fix the ruts the truck tires made in the yard. I really appreciated that. They went the extra mile. I am very happy with the job they did for me. Great company. I can see why they're number one.

Doug's Plumbing is a local contractor that I recently had the need to hire. The house that I was renovating presented me with an extensive plumbing must-do list. It included a toilet repair, another toilet complete replacement, bathroom sink/vanity replcement, basement laundry tub replacement, and major leaks needing repair under the kitchen sink, as well as the bathtub. I knew of Doug's Plumbing's reputation, so instead of getting estimates from different contractors, I just hired Doug's and let them loose. They gave me approximate prices as they approached each task, and that's how we worked together through the whole process. They certainly lived up to what I had heard about them - affordable prices and excellent work. Highly recommended.

I recently did some extensive remodeling on a house I had purchased. A big part of this work was electrical. I needed some ground fault interrupters, a few ceiling fans wired in, a new line/outlet for the dishwasher, replacement of the dryer plug/outlet, and some updating of the fusebox. I got estimates from several local contractors, and the one I chose to work with was Essexville Electric. They had a really competitive price, and were very professional and easy to work with. They were willing to meet my timetable, showed up when they promised, and did excellent and thorough work. I was very satisfied. There were no hidden charges and no problems whatsoever. I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to others.

I recently hired Bay Landscaping to redo the landscaping on both sides of my front porch. I was having water problems in the basement on that side of the house. When I consulted them they assured me that by building up the area in front of the house, the rain water would properly drain away, thereby eliminating the water problem. I have to say that they were true to their word. They dug out the old, pathetic, existing bushes, trucked in new fill dirt, and built up the area. Then they planted several different carefully chosen and positioned shrubs and ground plants. Finally, they filled in the area with decorative stones. The results are a dry basement and a beautiful front yard! Very satisfied, and highly recommended.
