We had our cabinets refaced, and new quartz countertops and backsplash installed. The new kitchen looks excellent - exactly what Canlik told us it would look like. They have made our kitchen look a million times better and the team was very responsive, professional, and efficient. The only reason I am not giving the company a perfect rating is that on one of the days they were installing the cabinets they did some cabinet cutting in the kitchen and as a result, sawdust had spread all throughout the house. I asked Canlik to do any further cutting work outside (which is a direct walk-out from the kitchen) and they obliged. When they came back to install the countertop they did their cutting in the backyard and really minimized the dust and mess in the house. Well done, highly recommended.

Regarding the saw cutting arrangement, please accept our apology for not having enough communication with you. There were one situation and one consideration that we need to or decided to do the cuttings indoor. First consideration was the safety under the weather condition. Our installers can handle the extreme cold but dry condition. However, our lead installer worry about the safety if they cut outdoor under the very slippery condition because of the freezing rain. There was also situation that some cutting was done on existing cabinets, which were attached on walls. We thank you for your prompt action to tell us that you are allergy on dust. Hope this did not cause you too much discomfort. Fortunately, the beauty of Refacing projects is that there are usually not too messy and minimal cuttings.

I do not recommend this company due to very poor communication and unmet expectations, which resulted in many problems, the largest being an unexpected, multi-room, toxic mess which forced me to live off-site for three days. Clean-up has been time-consuming and costly, since we have had to throw out some items that are not salvageable. I had initially hired this company to do a bathroom reno and although there were some problems (the bathtub leaked the first time we used it, which created water damage in the dining room ceiling below), we were pleased that Paul was willing to come back and fix the ceiling in a reasonable time. When a member of his crew then discovered that the ceiling was covered in mold (due to damage from a previous owner/tenant), we were confident enough in their previous work that we hired them to replace the entire damaged ceiling. Paul assured us at the start of the work that his crew would seal off the area to contain the dust and mess so I was shocked to discover that after they came in, the main floor and basement (there is no door separating the two) were covered with dust, garbage, shoe prints, chunks of plaster (I am assuming it was plaster), and an awful chemical smell. As I mentioned, the dirt and toxic smell forced me to live off-site for three days, and we are still dealing with the clean-up, including trying to clean ruined furniture and removing dollops of guck on walls and garbage/dirt that were left hidden in crevices, like between a wall and bookshelf. In my rush to get the ceiling fixed, I made the mistake of not getting estimates or quotes from other contractors. I've since learned that it is worth investing the time to do the following to ensure a good outcome: check if the company you are considering hiring is licensed and insured, get everything in writing (our contract was not detailed, which should have been a red flag), and especially be wary of anyone who offers a discount for paying cash (we chose this option and were not charged tax but this left us with less legal recourse and protection, and we unknowingly put ourselves at risk of liability if anyone had been injured while working on our property).

Went to Carpet Mill to purchase carpet runner and installation for stairs. I'm so glad I went there! Jeff saved me money by directing me to a carpet remnant which was durable and a good colour and pattern for heavily used stairs. He was very knowledgable. Installation was quick and clean, and I am VERY happy with the final result. (My dog will finally go up the stairs!) I'll be returning to Carpet Mill to buy new floors for the basement. Great product, great service, great prices.

Brent responded quickly to my request for an inspection and I was satisfied with his service. He promptly emailed me a report the same day he came to inspect the house. He was also very responsive to my questions and concerns post-inspection.

I honestly can't recommend Zaid Moving enough. Our movers, Holm and Dan, were super-efficient, polite, and professional. They showed up right on time and worked quickly. While they worked at a very impressive pace, they also made sure to take very good care of the furniture. When we arrived at our new condo, they moved every item and box into the room we wanted them in, which made the moving process so much easier. I can't think of a single thing that they could have done better. We were just so impressed and will use them for any future move, and will not hesitate to recommend them to anyone and everyone looking for a mover.

Really poor customer service. We bought a few pieces of furniture for our new condo from this store. The pieces that were in stock arrived in fine condition--although the delivery people left a large cardboard mess in the hallway--but they felt too large in our small space. Knowing they had a final sale policy on delivered items, I knew I couldn't return anything. So instead, I phoned them to request a cancellation on two more pieces that we had ordered but had not yet been delivered. I explained that the pieces simply would not fit into our small condo. On the first call, I was told that my salesperson Renata would call me back to make the arrangements for cancellation. She didn't call me back. So I phoned her again the next day and was able to reach her. I explained my situation and she said that their policy for all items was no returns, but when I pleaded for her to try to do something, anything to help us out--credit, exchange--she said she would talk to her manager and phone me back within an hour. It has been a week now and I have not heard back from her and at this point, I do not expect to. The customer service is just awful; they are not willing to work with you at all. I highly recommend buying your furniture at a store that cares about its customers and has a flexible return policy. UPDATE: In the end I didn't get any resolution and I just got notified that the chairs that I ordered are ready to be delivered. This, despite trying desperately to cancel the order a month ago. Very, very bad customer (non) service. It's made even more disappointing by the fact that the initial salesperson had been so friendly and gave us the feeling that we could trust her to take care of our needs and not take advantage of us.

Excellent service and highly recommended. One weekend when we noticed mouse droppings in our house, we called a few pest control companies and Pesticon was the first to call us back. They came the next day, even though it was a Sunday, to take care of the problem, and explained in detail what they did to get rid of the mice and what we needed to do on our end to ensure the problem did not re-occur. They took extra care to make sure that all mouse poison was placed safely out of reach of our two dogs. A few weeks later when we noticed a few more mouse droppings in the house we called Pesticon again and they came within 24 hours to take care of the problem, emphasizing that they stand by their 6-month guarantee and to feel free to call them whenever we needed them and they would come right away. Really exceptional service.
