If you're looking for an excellent and reliable contractor, I'd recommend Harry and the team at LB. Here's why. I contracted Harry to renovate my basement in Mar 2018. This would have been a 6 week project. When the basement floors were ripped up, the team found dirt underneath. We had to pour concrete. When the ceiling was taken down, we found no sound insulation. We added this in. During the project, the roof in the house next door (which we also owned) had two holes in it, and water entered the house on a rainy day. Harry helped patch the hole. His words were "Don't worry. I'll take care of it." Harry's team re-shingled the whole roof since it was in dire need of repair. He noticed that the roof on the first house also needed repair. He took care of that too. He completed all of this in 8 weeks, and at very reasonable prices. He doesn't cut corners, and he gives good advise on what needs to be done to do it right. He's excellent and reliable. I highly, highly recommend Harry and LB.

I needed some knob and tube work done, and wanted to test the house for asbestos prior to the electricians starting work. I contacted a few companies on Homestars, and Tony was very prompt in responding. He was very well mannered and answered all my questions over the phone, took all my considerations into account such as coming in as soon as possible, so that we could move ahead quickly. He was very knowledgeable and was amazing throughout the whole engagement. I would highly recommend Tony and would use his services again anytime (though hopefully, I don't have to hit another knob and tube situation).

Nobody wants a basement sewer backup problem, right? We had one about a month ago and called Public Plumbing. Mike came out to take a look and his experience and knowledge were impressive. He found the source of the problem and recommended fixing the pipe as well as installing a back water valve. Everything got done in less than a week, with top service from Mike. Totally recommend these guys.

Well, I have been pleasantly surprised with DE. When the hot water ran out just before Christmas 2010, I called in a panic, but the woman who answered was very pleasant and understanding and sent a technician out within a few hours. My hot water was restored (at no cost since I rent from DE), and all was good. I am cautious of this great review, as I am now out of hot water again. I just called DE, and got a woman who was very pleasant, and she has arranged for a technician to come out tomorrow between 8am - noon. I'll update this to let you all know how it goes...

My garage door had seen better days... I called Open Sesame based on the reviews on this site, and I was not disappointed. Steve came on a Monday to provide an estimate, and I gave him the go ahead on Tuesday.. and the garage door was installed on Wednesday... Absolutely love it!

Michael was very professional and helpful. He came when he said he would, he took his time looking around the house thoroughly, and he gave advice on how to look after the house so that it would be more bug-free in the future... and then he sprayed the house down.
