For the last few years have been using Pete the Plumber for our cross connection tests for City of Calgary. Last years we paid $600 for supposedly ussues that had to be corrected. Today when we called Pete the Plumber to check out an issue with our new boiler (4 years old), the initial cost of the house call was $300, without doing any assessment. If you want to be taken advantage of - because they know they can, call Pete the Plumber

In reference to"supposedly" issues -we do not have customers incur work that is not needed -and I would be happy to discuss the second part of the comment as our service call rate is $60.00 so the only explanation at this point is that is was overtime during Christmas and I am certain most people understand that we have to pay technicians an absolute premium to work through Christmas and New Years,-otherwise are pricing is very reasonable and competitive -Sincerely Jackie Prince General Manager

We purchased 2 regular doors and a set of patio doors from Lux. One of the doors was ordered the wrong size by their sales rep. They wouldn't make good on the mistake - no replacement/refund. Next the silicone seal was not applied properly at their factory on one of the door frames. I had to go pick some up and apply it myself. Now the bronze cladding is coming away from the frame - and they won't schedule a service to come until 35 days from my call. There s no follow up and no service - they don't stand behind their product and they blame everyone else for why their products are of poor quality.

As part of our major renovation, Ken and Jennifer of AAA Electric Ltd. looked after all of our electrical requirements. They installed the outdoor llighting front and back and did all the electrical for our new kitchen, as well as the bathroom requirements, which included in-floor heating in two bathrooms. Also, they upgraded our existing electrical needs in the living room and dining room. We are very pleased with the work that has been done to date and throughout the project it was a consultative process, and they always suggested a best solution in cases where we we unsure of what we required.

Our General Contractor managed all aspects of our major renovation, including new exterior siding, roof, windows, doors, kitchen and dining room extensions, complete kitchen and bathroom (2) renovations, outdoor covered deck and patio. All work to date has been completed close to budget, on schedule, and without sacrificing quality. John Venema completed all structural and carpentry work on the project and the outdoor living space is exceptional with a covered deck built of maintenance-free material (deck floors, railings), including built-in barbecue and fireplace along with a stone patio. All John's tradesmen performed in a professional manner and did quality work. Our custom built cabinetry in the kitchen and both bathrooms exceeded our expectations. Robin did excellent work and also between John and Robin, they suggested many great ideas which improved upon our original design. We had regular meetings with John during our renovation and he would always recommend/suggest any changes that would improve upon our existing plans. If there were any unknowns or hiccups, he would draw on his experience to come up with a best solution. The second phase of our renovation is on-going and we know we will get great results with John in charge.
