I have been reading past stories regarding roto rooter and I find myself so not very alone. The work carried out caused greater damage to my main line. When called back , the technician (not a licened plumber as lead to believe) demanded payment upfront and also my credit card number (I have previously paid by cheque) to add further insult. After asking this fellow to leave I was left with no option but to call in the City to inspect and clean my main. It was a rescue. The city even reduced their costs to me understanding the amount of money already paid to rotor rooter. The Owner (I assume) called me to state he was sending back my payment I had to hang up on him due to his confrontational manner. If the cheque arrives, great, I will use it to help with my water damage costs...
