10/10

I can't remember the last time I had an interaction with a vendor that went so well. This is a family run business but don't fool yourself into thinking it's a small production. I probably looked at about 10-15different vendors to quote a granite countertop and small bar area project. Maybe 20 sq feet total but a custom project as I'd trimmed down the depth of the cabinets in the wet bar area and had also asked them to do an angled install in a recessed corner area of my house. First of all, my initial interaction was stellar. Many vendors I had called either called back days later or not at all. I called and the owner (Artoush) picked up right away. There was no BS. I gave him the measurements and a drawing of the area and I got a great price right off the bat. I asked if he could do better and he told me he couldn't. He didn't inflate the price and he stood behind his offering, which I respected. I had received some far more and some slightly cheaper quotes on quartz (which I can assure you is LESS expensive than granite in the GTA), however I'd really been keen on black galaxy granite. My upstairs kitchen is also granite which looks beautiful and has held up exceptionally well. Skeptical, as other vendors had been keen to push quartz or granite at a higher price, I went to personally tour the production facility and look at the slab in person. Let me tell you, these guys know their stuff and use modern equipment to cut their stone. I'd been to a few other facilities and while I think that they could have also done a commendable job, their machinery was not on par with Sinco. They showed me the slab that would be used, and as Artoush mentioned on the phone, that he sources and inspects the slabs for quality. I thought maybe this was just marketing BS but after the install I'm convinced it's not. Anyways, his son comes to do the inspection and take the measurements. I was apprehensive about the angled cut in the recessed area of my house being perfect but he assured me they would trim it on site. Oh also, for the bar area I wanted a cutout for a faucet and a soap dispenser around the sink. Although I'd done a lot of research on the minimum gapping and whatnot for cutouts they were persistent on not leaving too little a gap so the structure of the stone would be maintained. I trusted them and they were right. So come the install day, Artoush's son (can't remember his name but a really nice guy!) comes with another laborer and preps the install. Oh, by the way, I'd also done my best with a laser level to make sure the cabinetry was as close to level as possible but there was a dip in a corner that I couldn't fix. Artoush's son assured me it's never 100% perfect and that they'd level it out onsite. They setup, levelled, installed, and caulked everything PERFECTLY. Artoush's son worked with my completely unlevel exterior vertical walls and trimmed them to fit the granite. Also, the cutout for the oddly shaped sink (pictured) was done perfectly as well. They were in and out within 2 hours. I don't usually advocate this hard for a vendor but I really want to hammer home how amazing these guys are. Very fair prices, exceptional quality workmanship, exceptional quality stone, excellent communication. They treated my $1500 job like it was a $15000 job. And, if I ever do have a $15000 job that me or my friends & family have to do in the future, I will be damn sure that Sinco is the one to do it. Don't roll the dice on stuff like this if you want it done perfectly at great price. Artoush & family, THANK YOU!
