EDIT JULY 26, 2021: The company no longer owes me money. I will say this, Eliyahu (the owner) tried to tell HomeStars that I was never his customer. Don’t worry, I provided all text communications PROVING the below is accurate - including but not limited to his LAME apology on the etransfer when he returned the money I prepaid for mulch and for mowing never done. He admitted his wrongdoing and still had the nerve to say this was a false review. I believe the only reason I got my money back was because I filed with the BBB. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. I wish I didn’t have to come here and leave this negative review. Eliyahu is seemingly a pleasant man, appears knowledgeable. I have extended every benefit of the doubt, and here I am, at a loss. They don’t show up. I hired them in the middle of the season last year and it was a struggle to see them come to mow. I never had a dedicated day and it was all over the place. Through that (and because Eliyahu seems so kind and honest), I thought maybe it’s because I came to them mid season. I went forward with the 2021 season, overlooking poor service in 2020. I shouldn’t have. It’s mid June and they’ve been here three times since April. I hired them for weekly mowing from April to July and they’ve mowed twice. July-November is supposed to be every other week. I hired and paid for extra services for the beginning of the season. In April. I needed mulch for my tree in my yard. I prepaid for it. April. May. Now June... no mulch has been delivered. Now I’ve cancelled it as we no longer have access for a crew to our backyard. This was known from the beginning of the season. I have texted. I have called. No response. I don’t even care about the money I prepaid for mulch (and don’t have). All I really want is a reliable gardening service to mow my tiny front yard on a consistent basis. I asked for weeding to be done (as an extra - to pay for the service I need ). It was not done correctly and since they never show up to mow, obviously it’s not being done as part of a regular lawn care routine. :( It’s sad that bad reviews need to be left. It’s sad that a company can just ghost customers who thought they had secured lawn care for the season, I do not recommend them.

There aren’t enough amazing things to say about Lior and Quality Painting. He is the most honest, hardest working, reliable and skilled painter you will ever meet. Our job was tricky. All of our baseboards and doors were done in oil from the previous owner. Oil is VERY challenging to cover with latex paint if you’re not moving out. We painted every room, closet and all baseboards while living here. Lior worked tirelessly to get this job done. He had to work around contractors as we were doing the bathroom updates at the same time (the contractors were supposed to have been gone when Lior was scheduled to paint - but they weren’t - that’s a different review. I’m just trying to explain how incredible Lior is). Lior came to work at 6 am every day just to make sure he has several hours before the contractors came. He asked if he could do that - so he could get to areas they were blocking. He stayed until 10 at night to be able to have the space without our terrible contractors messing things up for him. His work ethic is beyond anything I have ever seen. And the quality! OMG! The quality! Our home is meticulously painted now. Every room, perfect . All the awful oil paint gone. And it took him 4 coats of back breaking work to cover the oil baseboards. He uses top of the line paint, his prices were in line and even better than his competition and he is true to his word about every single thing. He told me not to worry. He told me he would leave me with a palace. He did. He was the only thing that went right during our awful renovation. Lior and his crew saved our sanity. He fixed every blemish on every wall - in our ENTIRE home. He even fixed things that weren’t part of the scope of work because he wanted things to be perfect. Didn’t change his quote even one penny because of the surprise extras. He is HONEST and TRUE TO HIS WORD! I want to share this about him: around a few months after our home as painted (perfectly!!) my husband was taking some bridge chairs to the (newly painted ) basement). A chair slipped out of his hand and went flying into one of the walls - huge hole! I was SO sad! Our new paint!!!! I called Lior and hire him to fix it. He came so quickly - ON A WEEKEND - and was here for around 2 hours. He plastered and sanded and painted and fixed it to perfection. HE DIDN’T EVEN CHARGE ME! He just kept saying that he wants us to be happy and it was no big deal. It was his pleasure. Do you get that ? Who does that? Lior! That’s who. There is no one better for you to do business with. His skill, honesty and integrity set him so far apart from any other company. You will never regret hiring him. Ever! He is the best of the best and in a league unto himself.

Suddenly in the middle of renovations we discovered that our roof was leaking. This was a big problem as all of our things from our renovation were in the garage - exactly where the water was coming in from the roof. I spoke to Ray and he gave me a great price based on a home identical to mine that Gitano had done a month earlier. I sent him photos of the roof to make sure it was the same - and he held his price. I signed the contract and they went ahead with ordering the shingles and supplies with no deposit needed. Ray and Juliana (in the office) bumped our priority due to the leak and urgent need. Within 2 weeks we had a new roof. The crew was professional, polite and worked super hard. The garbage bin was put in place and removed within 24 hours. It was a great experience from start to finish .

Let me start by saying that once you meet Mark your search for the right carpet company will end. You found it. I was drawn to Victorious Flooring because of all of the reviews and let me say they are SO accurate. I chose the in-home consultation for measurements and carpet selection. Mark arrived on time with samples in hand specifically chosen for the needs of my home (I have a dog and 3 small kids). He meticulously measured the areas in need of new carpet and went over all of the ins and outs of the samples. His honesty and integrity were ever apparent in helping me pick from the plethora of choices. I selected, paid the deposit and he kindly stored my carpet for me because I wanted to wait for our bathroom renovations to be over before installing our new carpet (which weren't but that is a different review I will write for an unrelated company at a later date). I booked the installation date and looked forward to my appointment. Installation day was a dream. His wonderful technicians arrived on time and were polite, skilled and meticulous in their craft. I paid extra to have my furniture dismantled and moved around as we could not provide them with empty rooms. They did everything - including reassembly in one day. That free worked ALL day without a break. I begged them to let me make them food or coffee... no thank you was the answer as they just wanted to work. My (awful) contractor left a huge problem on the threshold of the bathroom tile edge and the hall carpet. Mark's team had to uninstall in that area, fix it and then re-install... and they did so without hesitation. All they wanted was to help me and make me happy. And I am beyond happy. I am over the moon. Mark was easily available on the day of installation to offer his advice on our problem (NOT a problem caused by him).. and followed up with me late in the evening to make sure I was happy. Mark is an honest, hardworking, customer oriented man who lives, eats and breathes carpets. It is IMPOSSIBLE to go wrong by choosing Victorious Flooring. 10 stars isn't enough.

I contacted Harmony Tree Service to remove a dead Ash tree from our property. I called several companies to quote the removal and my husband and I decided to go with Harmony because they were less expensive than other quotes we received and they were able to schedule the job rather quickly. Well, folks, you get what you pay for. Damian and his crew came to our home on time to do the removal. And he did actually remove the tree from our property… BUT while he was doing so, Damian felled the tree on our 2 year old driveway and made several holes in our otherwise new driveway. Damian was quick to say that he is responsible for the damage done and that he would ensure that our property was restored to the condition it was in prior to Damian and his crew arriving to remove the tree. He patched the holes with cold asphalt but it was not an acceptable repair for a new driveway and I told him that. I paid him (in good faith) $500.00 of the agreed upon $980.00 charge for the tree removal and he wrote and signed that the balance was being withheld until the conclusion of the damage done to our driveway. I had several reputable companies come to quote the job to repair our driveway. Most said that we would need a new one (upwards of 2000.00) but one company said they could and would repair it and provided a reasonable quote I emailed the quote to Damian and he was unresponsive. He then came to my home and surveyed the damage once again and said that if he didn't give me a different company for a lower quote than I had provided he would happily pay the difference owing to my husband and I ($367.50). He once again admitted his negligence in how he took down the tree and once again said he would make it right. My husband and I waited for his other quotes. Nothing came. No word from Damian after several email attempts. So we went ahead with the repair (as the structural integrity of our driveway was at risk with the damage he caused) and asked Damian to pay us the money we are out of pocket from having paid the asphalt repair company. Not one word from Damian. Nothing. So we have repaired our NEW driveway and Damian as well as Harmony Tree Service has NOT stood behind their work or their mistake. They FAIL to honour their word and they are not a company I would ever recommend for any job. Save yourself the trouble and find a licensed arborist to do whatever job you called Harmony for. UPDATE (October 2013) We did receive payment in full from Damian for the repair to our driveway. It took a while but he did pay. I will change my 0 to a 5 now because he did own up to his responsibility but the truth is that he misjudged taking down the tree and damaged our property. It's hard to recommend them after that. A tree service company should know better. It also took a lot to get him to respond to me or my husband or our lawyer's letters and pay. I really can't give Harmony Tree Service a raving review. UPDATE 2: Damian's response below is very skewed and not at all accurate. 1) My husband did not cuss. He told Damian very calmly that he would need to restore our NEW driveway to the state it was in before he arrived and felled the tree on our driveway 2) 5 WEEKS elapsed between when Damian said he would send a company to give us an estimate to when we had our reputable company do the repair (also the CHEAPEST quote we received of the SEVEN quotes I got to repair our driveway) 3) Damian never responded to numerous emails. Perhaps he was busy, but he could have responded to our requests. 4) Damian completely IGNORED the lawyer's letter and left me no option but to fairly and honestly review his work here and to launch a complaint with the BBB. Why wouldn't I? Wouldn't you want to have your property fixed if a negligent company damaged it? 5) We live in a semi detached home. Two years ago we got a new driveway along with our attached neighbour as a seam down the middle is an eye sore. The driveway was PERFECT prior to his arrival so clearly any repairs to the damage HE caused would have to include both sides (as in sealing the driveway was done to both sides) so that no seam would be visible to our shared driveway. I'm sorry but an ARBORIST should KNOW that you don't fell a tree ON A DRIVEWAY!!!! You do it to the lawn. Who does that? Damian and Harmony Tree Service. That's who. Update 3: the proof of the quotes is now atrached to the photos. The proof was offered to Damian when he came to my home ans he declined to see it. He did state that he would send in other compamies to quote but after 5 weeks of SILENCE we went ahead with the cheapest quote we received. He can spin this any which way he wants but the fact remains that until I old him of my plan to HONESTLY review his work and a complaint with the BBB, he didn't respnd or take any responsibility for his negligence. And to clarify Damian's below claim that he "ha a company lined up to do the repair". I asked who. I got no answer. I asked for information and references about this alleged company he knows. He gave me nothing. This is my property and I have an absolute right to know and approve of anyone doing work to my property. Is that unreasonable? To want to know who is going to work on my property?? Of the numerous companies I called to view the damage and quote the job, only ONE said they could repair it. That quote was more than half of the nearest other quote. We tried to be kind and went for the repair even through we will always see the patch where none existed before Harmony removed our tree. So for all the below claims of who he had that offered better prices and such, not one name was ever given to me. Not one reference. Nothing. I wasted 3 days of my life getting quotes from companies. Aggravation and stress. It wasn't worth it. Of all the ash trees that have been removed from my street (a lot!!!!), only Damian's crew caused damage.

Felling plan was fine but trunk was not flat as I expected. Accident can happen and I was glad there was no personal injury. Our insurance can cover the damage or we could find a company to repair it. Suzi soon came out and had me Facetime with Rob (Lawyer husband). He was not too pleased with the accident. He calmly explained his position and his emotion towards the driveway being damaged (F*ed up). I apologized, explained my position and intention as the representative of the company and promised them to get it repaired sooner. Half of the payment was to be held until the problem's resolved. I right away looked into insurance and repair cost. The next day, Rob impatiently sent our company a legal letter with a repair estimate for theirs and the neighbour's driveway claiming their rights, asking for the half amount they paid earlier. The document claimed that there are other damages such as “lacerations”. Repair cost was three times the quote I’ve received for the repair. I explained to Rob that chainsaw cannot cut through asphalt but he did not listen. I even contracted a company to perform the repair within two days and notified them. They stayed stubborn and kept asking me to drop the matter and make our company pay them the cash. Suzi told me they’ve received three quotes, with no proof. Plus they wanted their neighbour's driveway redone. Repair cost was not even close to a fair price I know since I've contacted several contractors for the same matter. I did not understand their intention. A legal letter before giving a company a second to make moves to get it right? Back and forth of "I demand money" and "We take responsibility for the damages ourselves" many times. That was the end of our conversation. I cancelled the appointment for repair since they said they won't take it, I let them know that we cannot be responsible for a damage we did not cause. especially when there is no damage besides the one from the accident. Back to our regular schedule, because there was a company circumstance, I had to be at job sites at all times. We were swamped with work and Suzi never called me once. If you were that desperate about immediate response, perhaps a phone call was not a bad idea. We were busy. Later I noticed an email from Suzi. "I now have no choice but to take this to the next level." open up a case with BBB and sue our company and BAD REVIEW unless they get the money. Hands down. I just wanted to get it over with. I replied to her with an email on the same day of the arrival of her email to let her know that I will be sending a cheque (despite the opposition of higher management) that week and did. She did not respond her email nor phone calls. Called Rob, and he says "All I care about is the payment. When we get the money, we will clear everything and remove the review". Okay keep the review. We were clear about our intention since the first moment of the accident. We were bringing over professionals to repair the damage. They turned it down. Tree Service is not an insurance company where in case of an accident, you try to get as much as possible out of it. Because we broke a wood piece on a fence, we cannot not replace the whole 60 feet of fence. Especially when the job that was done for you is at half price that you will never find anywhere else and all of your special requests being done for you. I Sincerely apologize for the accident. Your experience with Harmony Tree Service could've been much better.

I came to Asphalt Care because of the positive reviews here ... And they are not wrong. We had a tree removed from our property and the arborists felled the large tree on our new driveway and put several holes that needed to be fixed. I called David and he actually answered the phone at 8:30pm!! This man knows, loves, lives and breathes asphalt. You know you are in capable and professional hands from the moment you speak to him. He gave us a reasonable quote and I trusted him and his team to do the job. They did an amazing job. They are professional and easy to deal with. They are honest with their quotes and do exactly what they say they will do. They even take the time to explain the repair and let you know why something is needed. I highly recommend them for any job to do with asphalt. You will not be sorry you did. Absolutely 10 out of 10!!!

What a wonderful company to do business with. They are knowledgeable, competitive pricing, punctual and truly go the extra mile to get the job done correctly. Boris called me back right away and answered all questions patiently and thoroughly. He even sent Kam in to look at my duct work to ensure there would be no issues with installation. Kam is a gem of an installer and did a excellent job. He didn't even care that it was pouring rain and he was soaked to the skin getting the work done. He only wanted to make sure the system was installed on the day promised. I can't recommend them enough. Our new Goodman system is fantastic and Dealing with Cozy World is a pleasure. Justin and Jacob are awesome. They gave me back a green front lawn after years of brown weeds. They are responsible, pleasant to be around, reasonable prices and offer a full range of services. I would recommend them to anyone.

Steve is phenomenal! He was here to do a list of plumbing things we needed fixed in our home. One was a new dishwasher. Unfortunately it got smashed in shipping but Steve somehow fixed it and managed to get it installed and running perfectly. He fixed everything else 1-2-3 fast. He was ON TIME, sooooo knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. His prices are fair and he is a pleasure to have in your home fixing things. He will be the only plumber I ever call again.
