I bought a floor model LG combo set for our bedroom. The LG was the only 24" size available so I bought it. After purchase I was told that Sears was no longer carrying the LG line but they would service it if I wanted to get an extended warranty. Why would I get a warranty on a product they no longer carried I thought? Also, the unit was missing a "stacking kit" so that the dryer would not fall off the washer. After several attempts at ordering they gave up and I gave up. No stacking kit available. Next; I had a service call exactly one month after he manufacturers warranty ran out. Sears said they would do a service call in ten days. I gave up and called another service. They came in two days and fixed the problem for now.

I purchased a new gas range from Bad Boy on Dundas St Mississauga in 2006 but before it got delivered I was told the one I had bought was not available and would instead be getting last years model. At the time I knew it was a classic "bait and switch" sales con but I needed the oven for my new home so I accepted it. Since then I have had 2 motherboards and 4 latches to replace on this horrible product. But Bad boy has lost the records of all these service repairs and can't transfer them to Whirlpool so they have a record of them. I am currently waiting for another new latch but I am no longer under warranty so I have to pay for all these repairs $1,700 and growing! Bottom line is don't deal with Bad Boy they are unprofessional.

Dear Mr. Neumann, We regret to hear you are having issues with your range.

We do have records of a service that was done on your range in 2009 under the extended warranty, and a technician visit in 2011 where no issue was detected.

However prior to 2009 there was no service open under the extended warranty. If you have service during the initial 1 year manufacturer’s warranty we would not be privy to these records, however the manufacturer will certainly have them on record.
