3/10

I called Harris Plumbing late March as my well pump had stopped working. Jamie came and explained the issues and we decided to install a submersible pump. We ran into some additional issues (couldn’t find our well). Once we located everything we decided to replace the lines running from the house to the first well. Upon completion of the job I was given a well cap that was too large, however they said they would return and replace it when they had the correct size in stock. The first big rain storm after the job was complete we had 6 inches of mud and water in our basement. The hole in the wall was not sealed prior to them burying the water lines. I called and they sent Jamie back. He filled the hole from the interior of our home and said that would fix the issue. The next rain fall it flooded again. I called and they could not get a technician out to me until Tuesday (this was a Saturday). I mopped water all weekend waiting for their arrival. On Tuesday I received an e-mail that the technician was held up on a job and would come on the Wednesday. When he came he replaced the cap on the well with the correct size and noted that they would need to dig down on the exterior to repair the foundation. He told me someone would call and book that service. The following Tuesday I called Harris Plumbing as no one called. I was told that a technician had been scheduled for the Wednesday. On Wednesday I received an e-mail that their truck broke down and they would reschedule for the Friday. On Friday a new technician came, he began digging down at the line entrance on the exterior. He found that the previous technician had buried large boulders up against our foundation and he was unable to repair the hole with them in the way. He called for assistance but they couldn’t send anyone to help him. So he drove rebar into the ground and ratchet strapped around the boulder to pull it out of his way. With the boulder hanging from the strap he repaired the hole in the wall and sealed it. The job time took from March until June to complete. Although I am happy I have water and more water pressure, I am not happy that I had to deal with mud and water soaking my basement. Repairing the hole in the wall should have been done at the time before it was buried. Overall I would not recommend this company. They were polite and informative, they just didn’t do the job right.
