I hired this company to paint the trim on a rental home that I own. Only the fronts of the trim were painted. When I emailed to ask for the underside of the trim to be painted they argued that this was french cutting and was too time consuming and difficult for them so it was not done. They did come back to the house and completed the french cutting after I challenged them. Some of the trim was painted the same colour as the house which was a communication error but the paint was slopped over onto the stucco and not just a bit it was 1 inches or greater. Due to these short cuts I do not trust that the trim was primed or puttied the windows appropriately only time will tell. They were asked not to complete part of the job and only reduced their rate by 50 dollars. When asked how they came to this number they stated that it would take 15 minutes for one worker to complete the work. So they assume that their going rate is $200/hr? These discussions are documented on email and there are photos corresponding to my concerns. I paid them in full was for legal reasons. I did send a review to the company when asked by them and almost 3 months later have not had any reply or follow up. I was left wishing that I had done the job myself and will have to touch up their work in spring.

I have read a few of the other reviews on the Homestars site for Meerkat roofing and I may have an answer as to why there is such a wide discrepancy in ratings. Our insurance company recommended this contractor to replace our roof after hail damage. The group of young men who did the initial half fast job on our roof was young crass and loud, they left a little bit of a mess and destroyed a few plants. Our major concern was the quality of work. The team was sent back to fix the job but it still was not to our satisfaction. The second team of roofers was then sent to the house and they were older, more respectful and neater than the first team. The company has a split personality and service seems to be determined by which group of roofers they send. A bit of a crap shoot. Frustrating to have to ask them back multiple times, the roof still does not look quite right.

Short turn around. They were able to inspect the property within 2 days of contact, at our convenience. The first hour an a half they completed their inspection and then patiently spent over an hour walking us and our agent through the home. A detailed report was available to us before we left the session, and report with photos was emailed to us within hours. The information supplied to us about the home was very thorough and useful.
