Locksmith care is an owner-operated business. Dimitry was easy to get a hold of and punctual for the appointment. He installed two commercial grade deadbolt and even helped re-square up the slightly misaligned door to make it work better. His work truck is well equipped and organized, and I got to watch him work. I appreciate organized workspaces and can see good workmanship when I see it. Lastly, his prices were competitive and fair and he did not try to sell me any more than I needed; just what made sense for the situation. He's on my speed dial for future locksmith needs. Kevin has come once a year three years in a row since we moved into our semi-detached home at Dundas Street West and Dufferin. In this neighbourhood, vermin are common - we often see dead mice and dead rats in the allies. When we first bought this house and was doing renovations, upon tearing down ceilings or cabinetry, we found mountains of mouse poop, so this house used to have a very serious infestation. First visit by Kevin, he baited the house thoroughly, and the frequency of new mice droppings disappeared. We have him come once a year to check bait and rebait if necessary. Ever since then we have been a mouse free house!

Great experience start to finish. Called to request an estimate, and sales person (Paul) called to setup appointment promptly and was here the next day (this was in mid-May, while temperatures were still cool). Price quoted was sharp, and spec of unit and the accompanying warranty was great. We accepted the quote the next day, and within a week, the installation crew arrived on the scheduled day, and installed the unit nice and cleanly. They were polite and professional. Highly recommended.

Pinewood was recommended to us by a realtor we met at a dinner party nearly three years ago when we bought our first house. We've had numerous things worked on by them and each project has been outstanding. 2008 - Replaced a 30+ year old boiler with a modern boiler for heating our home. Initially we inquired about getting the most expensive, ultra high efficiency over the top boiler, but they helped us pick the right boiler based on our home, budget, project, and plans for the house. The boiler had a small issue shortly after installation and their service techs came out quickly to remedy it. 2009 - Helped us re and re three cast iron radiator heater units when I did the hardwood flooring on the ground floor. 2010 - Service call to clean/maintain the boiler. 2011 - Installed a commercial sized ductless air conditioner in my business/commercial space. In all cases their sales team was extremely professional, helpful, and responsive. Quotes came fast, and scheduling was efficient. Installers come on time and are professional and tidy.

I had renovation debris from a kitchen (floor tile, wall tile, old cabinetry, counters, a wall removed, plaster and lath, etc.) which was too much for a rhinobag or equivalent, so it was time finally to rent a dumpster. This was my first experience. Their call center agents are very professional, and the driver was courteous, on-time, and was diligent in positioning the dumpster to maximize our efficiency. Pricing, as I've compared with other reviews, is similar to other bin rental companies. I will use them again.

This store carries all the products that the big box stores don't have much of... Schluter Ditra/Kerdi, Hardibacker, etc. you name it. The tile selection was excellent as well. Their design consultants are professional and were a pleasure to deal with.

This is the first time I've used movers; based on reviews on Homestars and some personal recommendations we went with El Cheapo. Their level of service is just right. They aren't white-gloved, but they aren't scary shady people either. On the contrary, our 2 workers, and Toby at the head office were extremely polite and professional. El Cheapo is perfect for anyone who is tired of moving by themselves and don't want to pay an arm and a leg.

As much as I am tempted to go into a big box store for convenience, I find myself going back to Bay Bloor Radio for a number of reasons. 1. Their high end items are fun to explore even if I can't afford them 2. They're a small business, not a faceless corporation, and offer great service 3. Their prices on entry level packages (like their Mozart Yamaha bundle) are competitive to the big box stores. So, considering all 3 reasons, why would you buy from anywhere else?

In the last couple of years I've moved away from Ikea furniture and developed an interest in vintage and antique furniture. Of all the stores on the Queen West antique strip, this one's by far my favorite. Its prices are reasonable and their items are stylish, relevant, and in great condition. My most recent purchase was a Kloud chair designed by Karim Rashid. What a find!!!

We're lucky to have Downtown Lumber nearby. If not for them, we'd have to drive out to a big box store. During my recent condo renovation I made frequent trips to buy things as small as dust masks, quarter rounds, PL premium, silicone sealant, and the other little things that you never have when you need!

We were planning to sell our condo and needed to replace heavily dented and scratched laminate with high quality hardwood. Our condo was 8 years old and we needed to compete with newer construction, without breaking the bank. Regal had a selection of discounted Maple flooring and we received a lot of helpful advice around transitions, trim, underlayment, and we couldn't have been happier with the outcome! We did the work ourselves and ended up spending 1/4th of what people think our floors are worth!

We were planning to sell our 700 square foot loft but knew that since it was 8 years old, our bathroom would pale in comparison to some of the newer constructions from the last two years. Buildall kept within budget and modernized our tacky colored and cheap looking bathroom with great subway tiling, one piece toilet, and granite counter tops/undermount sink which made the difference! Our place sold first day on market and we didn't have to spend a fortune to refresh the dated bathroom.

I would recommend Rivalda for someone who knows exactly what they want and wants access to a great deal of selection. Their reps are efficient but they did not come across as someone who would hold your hand and spend an hour with you going over the pros and cons of porcelain vs marble. My contractor recommended them and I simply used them to buy a set of 4x8 white glossy subway tiles and 1x2' grey floor tiles which look great.
