We hired Tyler and the Blucast team to do my basement renovations and was very satisfied with our experience and end-product. For context, my wife and I took a few months to find the right contractor to do my basement end-to-end, and interviewed quite a few contractors. We did our due diligence as we were looking for a long-term contractor, and our prior experience with contractors were a hit or miss. For us, we needed it to be the right balance of experience, quality demonstrated from past work, responsiveness, price and placing the right safeguards around COVID-19 especially given we have two young kids. Tyler met all the criteria, where negotiation around the scope was straightforward and he was very open in terms of trade-offs we were making, and the contractual process was smooth. Tyler and team arrived right on schedule, was very easy to work with, was quite open when things were ahead of schedule and when it wasn't (usually a supply issue due to COVID-19, and what the implications were). I felt I didn't have much surprises and Tyler went above and beyond when there were surprises behind the walls and ceilings (which there always is). Ultimately, we were very satisfied with how the basement turned out and saw our vision come to life - a combined work, lounging, and kids area. Even more impressive was our experience - structured, trust-worthy, minimal surprises, and transparent. We would high recommend Tyler and team, and would easily hire them again!
